Ashley van Haeften is an IT project manager, and the chair of Wikimedia UK, the United Kingdom chapter of Wikimedia Foundation. Van Haeften, also a former Wikipedian, was banned from English Wikipedia, after he "mounted personal attacks" on other Wikipedians who expressed concerns about explicit material uploaded to the project by van Haeften.

Van Haeften was found by Wikipedia's Arbitration Committee to be in violation of several rules regarding appropriate editing of Wikipedia, including personal attacks on other Wikipedians, using sockpuppets, and including a "highly inappropriate" pornographic link to a biography of a living person. In addition, van Haeften was banned from Jimmy Wales' talk page, after a discussion became "unnecessarily hostile".
