Twitch Plays Pokemon

Twitch plays Pokemon is a "social experiment" started in early 2014 by an ausfag programmer who wanted to see what would happen when a clusterfuck of people try to play the same game at once. Being a primary stable of internet "nerd culture", the original Pokemon red was chosen as the game used for said project (also probably because gameplay requires minimal user input). The actual game is controlled through twitch's chat where users input such actions as "up", "down", and "A", as well as lines upon lines of endless dick jokes.

Quickly gaining popularity, it has attracted over 100,000 viewers, most of whom are trolls hoping to ruin the game by releasing all pokemon sans Magikarp.
