Kohlchan is a young, German picture board. It is generally considered to be the successor to Krautchan, which was killed by cancer. The name "Kohlchan" was used firstly because Kohl (cabbage) is the original form of Kraut. It also pays homage to former politician Helmut Kohl. At the beginning of the picture board the default name was set to "Helmut", but since some could not live with that, the name was changed back to Bernd.

Birth

After Krautchan's sudden death from cancer, many Bernds roamed the Internet aimlessly. So some used Bernds Krautplausch as well as various other boards like Ernstchan, 4chan or 8chan - but it was never the same. The serious moderation annoyed many Bernds. Ernst, for example, took away Lolibernd's Loli threads, Rechtsbernd his AFD threads and Saufbernd his booze threads. As a result, a heroic Bernd formed resistance by advertising Kohlchan. More and more Bernds took part and were able to achieve an immense growth of Bernd on Kohlchan. At some point suddenly the message spread that a new picture board was born. Kohlchan. It was advertised on the above mentioned platforms partly for Kohlchan, however Ernst from Ernstchan became very mett and deleted every referencing post. Nevertheless, some Bernds got together and laughed about Ernst on this new board.

Is available, but not as annoying as on Krautchan.
