Monty Python is an old media randomness clusterfuck, made of equal parts LSD and AIDS. Created by our old friends, the BBC, it started as an experiment to see how much autism could be packed into a half hour of television. Every single fucking episode was construed from the LSD-fueled visions of the producers from the night before. Despite only lasting for 4 seasons (by comparison, House made it to 8) and noone watching it when it originally airedin the early 1970's, the show spread like the Flu after it was cancelled. Today, it is regarded as the pinnacle of British comedy, and is worshipped and masturbated to by every single Britfag and pseudo-intellectual on the internets and beyond. Srsly, you are not cool in their eyes until you've watched every painfully unfunny episodes, and all 3 of the shit movies. And if you ever criticize any little detail, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, YOU WILL BE FACING A NUCLEAR-POWERED SHITSTORM OF IMMENSE PROPORTIONS.

Monty Python, about as amusing as an arrow in the nee.

Season Summaries

Season 1 - Random Shit

Season 2 - Random Shit

Season 3 - Random Shit

Season 4 - Even unfunnier random shit than before OMG WTF WHERES JOHN CLEESE MOFOS???!!?!?!?!?!??!

Movie Summaries

The Meaning of Life - Literally the same as a regular episode, except much longer and the censor's turned off.

The Holy Grail - Dismemberment, killer rabbits, a castle full of kinky nurses, an unusually accurate depiction of the French, and a surprise semi-trolling for the viewers at the end. All in all, the closest Monty Python ever gets to lulz

Life of Brian - Unfunny parodies of bible shit with a gay ass song at the end. This one's only redeeming quality is it showing an actress' tits and vag in the middle.

An Open Letter to the Fans

To all fans and friends of Monty Python, et. al.;

I thank you in advance for your taking the time to read this open letter, and respectfully request your earnest attention.

Like many of you, I too am a fan of dry humor, such as that for which British comedy is well known. It is true that this type of wit is frequently misunderstood and under-appreciated, for without a certain type of personality and an understanding of culture the humor is lost. Some of us felt alienated by our quirky tastes in jokery, deemed by more "mainstream" individuals as unfunny and boring.

All that changed with the advent of the internet. What excitement we felt when, after adding a rare gem quoted from an obscure episode of Flying Circus to one's Usenet signature, we received a positive response! Indeed, the internet turned out to be a haven for like-minded individuals, where is was easy to find another person who "gets it". It became a mark of quiet pride to declare oneself a Monty Python Fan, and to quote their work was a signal to others that you are one of those elite, one who "gets it".

However, for a long time now there has been a tendency for many these individuals to |overestimate the value of being a Monty Python Fan. Whether this lack of understanding of social nuances is a product of the Internet Age or innate in these individuals I do not know. Either way, the result is endless repetition of overused half-witted quotes, ruining the obscurity that originally made the lines quotable, and sucking out completely what humor (if any) there ever was in the line.

If you will forgive me for being blunt, I will put it in simple layman's terms: You are not cool or elite or funny for quoting Monty Python. Shut the fuck up.

Therefore, I humbly ask you to curb your quoting. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

P.P.S. Watch and quote some other British shows like The Goodies, The Young Ones, or the Mighty Boosh.
