This is ground control
Halo thar. You're doing some splendidly manic work on steamshovelling Drumpf stuff into the article. But you're making all the images absolutely enormous, and not 'gallerifying' the videos. The result is like being assaulted down a dark alley by a powerpoint presentation, with all the slides attacking you at once. Could you do some gardening, as well as planting, please, to make this article less of... well... an eyesore? (Don't be alarmed by this comment, it's meant in an encouraging sort of way). - Fair enough, let me know if you need a hand at any time. I'll take a peek at the article in a few days, to see how things are getting on. Continuez, mon brave. Sidecar 18:09, 27 March 2017 (EDT)
- My two cents-worth. It's awful, I hate it. It wasn't broken till you tried to fix it. But I'm not going to interfere. Re-read some of the pages you've enjoyed and see what makes them work. Digest, and experiment, rinse and repeat. There's no "final form" for any page, and we all have our experimental phase before calming down a bit. Not everything needs to be front and center. It's OK for a page to have nooks and crannies for readers to explore, and they can be used to great effect once you have the confidence to discriminate between what needs to be a splash and what goes in the nibs. You show great promise, youngling, so don't be disheartened by my reaction. I am no-one who should matter to you in any way. 18:13, 1 April 2017 (EDT) — Preceding comment added by Sidecar (talk • contribs), who is too much of a fucking retard to sign their own posts. Hi. I appreciate that you want to contribute to Encyclopedia Dramatica, but please avoid spamming giant images and templates everywhere. They should never surpass text as the majority of content. I'm going to clean up the pages a little bit, so please don't revert my shit. You're more than welcome to continue to work at ED but these pages get a lot of traffic and we want it to look as professional as we can. - (Al Gore) 09:46, 3 April 2017 (EDT)
- AlGore is right, as usual. Like some kind of disgusting jew, I was forgetting about the pageview rate associated with the Drumpf article - trial and error will be detrimental here. Choose a backwater of a page and go to town on it, to get the feel of things. E.g., my first ED dabble was a days-long sperg-out on the Royal Family which annoyed the asshole out of everyone (due to not understanding the 'preview' button, hint hint) but it kept me out of harm's way and was very useful experience.Sidecar 19:16, 4 April 2017 (EDT)
