A great migration is a mass exodus of users from one online community to another, usually as a result of drama.

Of course, the axiom "whereever you go, there you are" applies, thus guaranteeing that the new community will be as drama-laden as the old.

The LJDrama community on livejournal migrated to the ljdrama.org website after it was suspended, thus providing even stronger lulz than ever before.
