I am overweight -- you can call me fat, even obese.

—Jennifer Livingston

Jennifer Livingston is an overweight fatty obese newswoman who opted to make a public target out of a viewer who sent her a private e-mail out of concern the health of her and impressionable young girls. With October being "Bullying Awareness Month" (Breast Cancer has company), this retort was shown alongside videos of elementary school boys getting assaulted by multiple boys on a bus, because that's totally the same thing.

Livingston seems to ignore that when young girls get bullied by a single bully, it is usually in a place where the viewing is public so that it can turn into a public embarassment. Bullies rarely write polite e-mails. Fat children also are usually more excusable as they don't control the food brought into the home, and lack the education regarding diet and fitness that adults (and you would think news anchors especially) would have access to.

After her husband posted the e-mail (not a cover, either your husband snoops through your mail, which should enrage you, or you showed it to him) to the news station's facebook page (since removed) she then attacked the guy on air, rather than simply replying to him via e-mail, deciding to make a drama-storm about it to help her career, and paint herself as a hero by being an anti-bullying advocate (easier than being an anti-obesity advocate).

With the public against him, the heroic viewer finally deigned to give an apology. He revealed that he had been fat as a young boy and understood what kids went through, but that unlike her, he actually puts forth an effort to remain fit.

  • Unknown date: security guard Kenneth Krause sends Livingston an e-mail critical of her taking the position of a role model for young girls because of her high levels of fat.

It's unusual that I see your morning show, but I did so for a very short time today. I was surprised indeed to witness that your physical condition hasn't improved for many years. Surely you don't consider yourself a suitable example for this community's young people, girls in particular. Obesity is one of the worst choices a person can make and one of the most dangerous habits to maintain. I leave you this note hoping that you'll reconsider your responsibility as a local public personality to present and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Ok. I really don't know where to begin here. I've posted about negative emails the station has received in the past, but this one delivered specifically to my wife, morning anchor Jennifer Livingston, has just infuriated me. Seriously, the fact that there are people out there like this (and I understand this person is a lawyer in town) makes me sick to my stomach. Here's the e-mail

I want to take a moment to address a situation that has become a talking point in this community, especially on facebook, that centers around ME. On Friday I received the following e-mail from a Lacross man with the subject line "Community Responsibility" and it reads as follows...

INSERT RESPONSE

Given this country's present epidemic of obesity and the many truly horrible diseases related thereto, and considering Jennifer Livingston's fortuitous position in the community, I hope she will finally take advantage of a rare and golden opportunity to influence the health and psychological well-being of Coulee Region children by transforming herself for all of her viewers to see over the next year, and, to that end, I would be absolutely pleased to offer Jennifer any advice or support she would be willing to accept.

He's the hero that the world deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero...he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...the Dark Kenneth Krause.

He was not bullying, look up the legal definition of bullying. he never once said anything derogatory, he was genuinely concerned about both her health and the health of a nation. He sent a private email, she got insulted because she knows she's fat and doesn't want to admit it's her fault so she decided to get all the other fatties to support her. She is being the bitch here, he was just trying to help. also i'm going to need some proof she ad a thyroid problem, or i call BS.
