Cringe is a specific subgenre of 'comedy' that has existed for many years on the internet, and originated as Cringe threads on b. Nowadays, you'll find a lot of cringe all over the internet, especially in places such as YouTube, where little kids making cringe compilations think that adding their captions between each cringe makes it lulzier.
Typical Sources

For the aspiring 'Cringeologist', there are a multitude of sources that one can choose from. However, many of these sources are overused and outdated. Sources for cringe include:

- Embarrassing antics happening on TV (faking a seizure after losing on a game show, being friendzoned on reality TV, losing contestants getting angry, etc.)
