The Helix Fossil is an item that, in the actual Pokémon games, is normally used to revive the ancient Pokémon Omanyte; in the popular Twitch Plays Pokémon channel on the video streaming website Twitch, it is viewed ironically, by the Twitch users, as an object of worship and guidance. The large volume of chat commands being input at once in the chat room made the random selection of items in the bag a common occurrence during battles, especially the selection of the Helix Fossil, which is why the Twitch users view it as it was mentioned before. There have been oaths circulating in the game's chat about the Helix Fossil's religion. There are about 20.3 million people worshiping the Helix Fossil. An ask website has been set up for the fossil, in which you ask a question and it gives you an answer. In the TPP's lore the Helix Fossil sent forth 'BirdJesus' to destroy the Dome heretics and end the fascism of the False Prophet's so called 'Democracy'.
