It all started Christmas night when everyone's [[Christmas]] celebrations were starting to cease, and the /b/tards began to come back to their online world. Marky, aka. ArwenChan, decided after lurking 4chan for a year or two that she'd try and make some of the /b/ population's day by saying "Merry Christmas!" with a timestamped picture. Marky Thompson had no idea what she was actually getting into.  Marky Thompson came into the board with the intentions of making a few peoples day by saying merry Christmas; 4chan had other plans. Instead of being kind and replying back nicely, they insisted on trying to get nude pictures. With the high, high demand of nude photographs, Marky began to reply to these messages with random pictures showing her facial expressions.

Marky's term of endearment as ArwenChan was brought about in the pictures from Christmas day, in which her hairstyle resembled the elf Arwen from the [[Lord of the Rings]] movies. Threads following her original one had pictures posted with Marky's face shopped onto elven women's bodies, and many white knights use elven artwork or pictures when saging threads or simply posting, showing their allegience to the beautiful new [[The Princess of /b/|Queen of /b/]].
