Mara is a demon from the Shin Megami Tensei series of Japanese RPGs who takes the form of a large, green phallus with tentacles that often rides around in a golden chariot that has been pimped out with deadly blades. Mara is based on a demon from Buddhist mythology that attempted to seduce Buddha by pretending to be the little girl. Despite Mara's suggestive appearance, he has been spared from the usual treatment due to his appeal among young, women gamers and due to the fact that he is often mistaken for the much more family-friendly LOL WUT pear.
TL;DR Version: Mara is an enormous green penis on wheels who stands tall against the evils of video game censorship.
