Necomouse was a photo of uncertain origins that Wikimedia hosted for over 11 years (from February 2005 to March 2016), despite numerous attempts to delete it. It was also used on Wikipedia's article on "Necrophilia" from until it it was finally removed in September 2007 after an epic edit war. In March 2016, the sourpusses finally overran Commons and deleted the image due to a copyright issue.
