death threats?

this article claims Whedon quit over "death threats"... this seems to be a recurring theme:

• Leave it as is for now. Until some solid proof comes out that there were death threats, I'll assume it's a red haring by feminists trying to shift the blame away from themselves (which is what it probably is). oddguy 04:26, 6 May 2015 (EDT)
