Cursed Images is an interwebs term referring to pictures on the web where the content is a mix between cringe, fail, and spooky. Not to be confused with Schizoposting memes - although there can be crossover between the two, especially in the current internet age of post-irony and is-it-shitposting type humor. Basically, it's the image-file equivalent of middle-schooler-written creepypasta.
Origin of term
Cursed Images were originated on the internet containment site and "micro-blogging" website tumblr, way back in 2015. The tumblr account/blog which posted the first one was titled "CursedImages"; this is actually a fitting name as tumblr is an entire site of shitty low-quality image posting.
