For a while 3chan.io was prone to skiddie spam but smartly turned on a captcha so they could be prone to server errors instead. While it could have ended there the [[idiot|genius]] admin posted his source code somewhere and promptly got himself (Louis Melgarejo) doxed and every visitor's IPs leaked. Eventually after that code was used to delete all the posts on his chan, Louis restored the site from a backup and made it read only until his CDN free trial expired. 3chan.io was never heard from again.

It has a .io domain which is a clear indication that the website was run by Nu-males. 3chan had three boards and was officially announced on October 23, 2018, and lasted until December 1, 2018.
