***UPDATE 11/12/21*** I drew this BEFORE any information came out about the victims backgrounds. I'm completely transparent about this and about their backgrounds. Please see Scopes.com for that information. My point isn't that they were saints but they were humans. NO ONE has the right to gun down another human being. NO ONE is another's judge, jury and executioner. Think about that as you want. And that kid shouldn't have been there in the first place. There is no way to justify this - it was a tragic and unfortunate event. More to the point - if we you can justify the murdering of a person just based on their criminal background then we have lost our humanity as a society and we are no better than those who've done heinous acts to another human. They were still humans, they still had families, they still deserved life - even if you think they don’t. We don't get to decide that. In the end there are no heros in this story.

I’ve completed two memorial paintings in the last few days. It’s been one tragedy after another. #jacobblake was shot in the back seven times by a cop in front of his children. #chadwickboseman passed away from a 4 year fight with colon cancer. And these two men; #anthonyhuber and #josephrosenbaum . These men died for what they believed in. They died to protect people - people they didn’t even know. These men believed in #blacklivesmatter -they embodied the movement; believing that every single life should be sacred no matter what your skin color or where you come from. Believing that we should live in a world where everyone is treated with decency and respect.
And because of that we need to say their names. @janayathefuture was right in their sermon…
