Barbeac0n AKA Philip Norman is a member of several pedophile Websites, such as BL.net, BLOL and BLN. He has stated that his age of attraction is to boys between 12 and 16 years of age.
Not only is Norman attracted to young teen boys, he boasts of his underwear fetish and belongs to many websites which support this. As a member of the pedophile forums, he spends most of his time perusing the image galleries, in search of boys scantily clad in underwear.
In one of Norman's posts in the discussion area of the forums, he was inquisitive regarding the downloading of images from the galleries, and whether or not they would leave traces of evidence on his computer. He states that he clears his history and cache, and also uses a program to eliminate any "evidence". He has also posted that he has taken underwear from a teen-aged boy in a changing room at the local pool, so he could sniff them.

- We noticed barbeac0n on several pedophile sites, including BL.net and BLOL and BLN.
- A search of the screen name lead us to a YouTube profile wherein he listed his name as being "Simon" and his age as 32 (as of August 2007).
- A profile for barbeac0n was also found on MySpace, showing the name "Simon" and the nickname "pn15123" with the location listed as West Midlands, UK. His profile also listed school and work information.
- Google searches also helped us locate profiles for barbeac0n on several underwear fetish sites wherein he consistently listed matching information in his profiles for his e-mail, instant messenger contacts, and his location.
- A check of the Yahoo profile for pn15123 showed his location as West Midlands, UK, which also matches previously found information.
- Information on barbeac0n's AOL profile under the screen name fil1p (as listed in one of his underwear fetish profiles) shows a location of Walsall, West Midlands, UK.
- A search of the screen name "fil1p", as listed under his AOL contact information, revealed the name "Philip Norman", a security officer. This matches previously posted information by barbeac0n that his occupation was "uniformed". Also listed was a company name, "Signet Group".
- Using the name Philip Norman, we found a profile on Plaxo.com for a Philip Norman, a security officer with Signet Group, which matches the information found using his e-mail address.
- Another search lead us to a profile for "fil1p", who listed his previous user name as "pn15123" and another previous name "381". He also listed his real name as Phil, and his job as "security".
- Yet another search for "fil1p" lead us to a profile on Linkedin.com for Philip Norman, listed as a security officer with Signet Jewelers, Ltd.
- We also found him using the screen name "fil1p" on a security forum where he stated that he's been in security for 27 years, and that as of Nov. 2007 he was working in Birmingham.
- Throughout Philip Norman's web presence, he lists his signature as either "As above so beneath" or "As outside so within". As "barbeac0n", he also uses the "As above so beneath" signature on BL.net.
- A Google search for "fil1p" + "AIM" lead us to yet another profile for Philip Norman on a Signet Security site, wherein he uses the screen name "ph1ln0rman", which is consistent with his letter to number replacement in his other screen names, fil1p and barbeac0n.
