Pedospeak is terminology that pedophiles use when referring to variants of their lifestyle with the intent of obscuring the negative effects of their actions and achieving legitimacy amongst the general public.

While some pedospeak words are simple abbreviations of terms commonly used by anyone discussing pedophilia, many of the phrases betray a clear attempt to twist the existing terminology in their favor. By changing the language typically used to denote the sexual abuse of children, they hope to portray this abuse in a more benign light.

Pedophiles use such terms as "Child Lover," "Minor-Attracted Adult," "Girl Lover, and "Boy Lover," to describe themselves. Many dislike the use of the word "pedophile" because they view it as a hated word. They discuss about how, in history, and in some other countries, it's accepted for adults to have sex with minors. The goal of pedospeak is to trick people into thinking that they're harmless, and to become more acceptable to society.

A

AF (Adult Friend): Short for "Adult Friend". Oftentimes it implies a sexual relationship.
AAM (Adult-Attracted Minor): Used by pedophiles in attempt to blame victims for their abuse.
ANTI (Anti-Pedophile, Pedophile Hunter and/or child safety activists): Activists who oppose pedophilia in all its forms. Some groups will demonstrate against sex offenders or seek to "out' pedophiles who hide behind anonymity on the Internet, posting on message boards and forums advocating pedophilia or sympathizing with other pedophiles.
AOA/AoA (Age of Attraction): Abbreviation for "age of attraction", meaning which age a pedophile has the most attraction to.
AOC/AoC (Age of Consent): AOC is an acronym, which means "Age of Consent". This refers to the age that is legal for a person to consent to sex. Pedophile activists constantly discuss the methods and activism steps they should take to lower or abolish the Age of Consent. They also share with other pedophiles the Age of Consent in other countries around the world and encourage them to visit the places that have a low age of consent, such as Spain, where the Age of Consent is 13.

B

BC (BoyChat): BoyChat is the name of a message board and organization for pedophiles who are sexually attracted to little boys. They discuss everything from politics to clothing trends to specific boy actors.
BL (Boylove or Boylover): This is a termed coined by pedophiles who prefer boy children.

BM (Boy Moment): The term Boy Moment is a pedospeak term used to describe an encounter or other experience that a pedophile has had with a young boy, usually within the pedophile's AoA (age of attraction) range. Boy Moments are often referred to as BM's on the message boards that pedophiles use to share their experiences with their peers. Most Boy Moments are meant to be "warm and fuzzy" expressions; however, it can be a referral to anything from a moment of appreciation for a child to a sexual experience.

CA (Child Advocate): refers to a range of individuals, professionals and advocacy organizations who promote the optimal development of children. An individual or organization engaging in advocacy typically seeks to protect children's rights which may be abridged or abused in a number of areas.
CL (Childlove/Childlover): Pedophile term used to describe an attraction to both male and female children.
CHSC (Cement-headed Straight Clown): is a colloquial term used to describe a heterosexual person who, never having had to question his own sexuality, has lost all capacity to think open-mindedly and reason. The brain of a CHSC, it is humorously implied, has turned to cement and has become unable to yield. First coined on BoyChat by TPKA Adam Selene, the term is used for individuals who, upon hearing of "boylovers", immediately start to make all kinds of assumptions, often lashing out with condemnation and foul language.
CM (Child Molester/Molestation): is a term for a criminal who commits a crime involving a range of indecent or sexual activities between an adult and a child, usually under the age of 14. In psychiatric terms, these acts are sometimes known as pedophilia.
CP or KP (Child Pornography): the illegal use of children in pornographic pictures or films. More specifically: any visual depiction, including any photograph, film, video, picture, or computer or computer-generated image or picture, whether made or produced by electronic, mechanical, or other means, of sexually explicit conduct, where: (A) the production of such visual depiction involves the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; (B) such visual depiction is a digital image, computer image, or computer-generated image that is, or is indistinguishable from, that of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; or (C) such visual depiction has been created, adapted, or modified to appear that an identifiable minor is engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
CPS (Child Protection Services): the name of a governmental agency in many states of the United States that responds to reports of child abuse or neglect.
CSA (Child Sexual Abuse): Child sexual abuse is a form of child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent abuses a child for sexual stimulation; any act where a child is used for sexual gratification; any sexual relations/interaction with a child; any sexual activity perpetrated against a child by threat, force, intimidation, or manipulation; or the sexual and emotional violation of a child by an adult, through verbal, visual or physical acts, abusing the relationship of power and authority that adults have over children. Child sexual abuse is nowadays outlawed in almost all countries, generally with severe criminal penalties, including in some jurisdictions, life imprisonment or capital punishment.

HBP (High Boylover Priesthood): is a phrase used on BoyChat by people who attempt to define who is or is not a "real" boylover. It is not an actual group of people but represents an abstract type of person who attempts to act as a gatekeeper for boylove.
Hebesexual (HEBE, Hebephilia): The sexual attraction to underage children from post puberty (usually age 12 to the age of 17).

LOLI: Reference to girls under 12, based on the Russian novel by Vladimir Nabokov entitled "Lolita", in which a middle-age man becomes sexually obsessed with a twelve-year-old girl.
Lolicon (LOLICON): Drawings or animated cartoons of child pornography featuring underage girls. It's also a Japanese portmanteau of the phrase "Lolita complex". In Japan, the term describes an attraction to underage girls or an individual with such an attraction. Outside Japan, the term is less common and most often refers to a genre of manga and anime wherein childlike female characters are depicted in an sexual manner. The phrase is a reference to Vladimir Nabokov's book Lolita, in which a middle-age man becomes sexually obsessed with a twelve-year-old girl. The equivalent term for attraction to (or art pertaining to erotic portrayal of) young boys is shotacon.
Loved boy: a boy who is being molested by a pedophile.

M

MAA (Minor-Attracted Adult): anyone with sexual attraction to persons below the age of majority.
MBC (MetaBoyChat): is a board of BoyChat. In February of 1998, Alexis, then member of the Free Spirits Coalition (FSC), opened MetaBoyChat in order to free BoyChat from administrative debate and to provide a forum for participants to bring their questions and concerns to FSC members. MetaBoyChat was the earliest auxiliary board to BoyChat that is still in operation today.

N

Nepisexual (NEPI, Nepiophilia, Infantophilia): is the sexual attraction towards babies and toddlers (usally aged 0 - 4to5 years).
NN (Non Nude Model): Sites/Photos where underage girls as young as two pose scantily clad in adult lingerie or in overtly sexy poses.
Non or Non-MAA: People who are not pedophiles.

P

PT (preteen): a pre-adolescent boy or girl (usually between 9 and 12 years of age).
Pederast: a man who has sex (usually sodomy) with a boy as the passive partner.
Pedo/pedophile/paedophile: an adult who is sexually attracted to children or a person who prefers sex with children, usually visualizing his/herself as being the same magical age as the child. Most pedophiles are convinced that there is nothing wrong with having sex with children.
Pedosexual/Pedosexuality: Another term used by pedophiles. A non-existent word invented by pedophile activists as part of their ongoing effort to legitimize and legalize the sexual exploitation of children.

RL (Real Life)
RSO (Registered Sex Offender): is a person who has committed a sex crime and is then mandated by government authorities to report their residence and activity information for the purpose of tracking; it can include those who have completed their criminal sentences.

SHOTA (Shotacon): Child pornographer in a cartoon or drawing, generally done in Japanese Anime format, but can refer to any kind of drawn/cartoon child porn. It can include rape, torture and violent themes with adult men and very young boys, including toddlers. Drawings or Cartoons (Animated) Child Pornography featuring boys.
SO (Sex Offender): is a person who has committed a sex crime.
SOR (Sex Offender Registry): Registry where you can obtain information about RSO's/SO's who reside near you. (See NSOPW.gov or Family Watchdog.
SQR (Sure Quality Radio)
SYF (Sexy or Special Young Friend): this term is used by pedophiles and stands for the children that they have close, ongoing "friendship" with; some use it more liberally to describe any child they have contact with. Others use SYF to refer to a sexual young friend (i.e. a sexual relationship).

T

TBL (Teen Boy Lover): is a "boylover" who is primarily attracted to boys old enough to be considered teenagers.
Toddlercon: Animated or cartoon child porn featuring sex with toddlers.
Treehouse: a board of BoyChat. The Treehouse was started by then Webmaster Asa to accommodate one-line and silly posts, which take up space and spark annoyance in the main index. It was originally named The Little Boys Room (or LBR). This name brought much controversy from posters as to its innuendo that "boylovers" should hide out in a Little Boys Room to have fun. In North America the term Little Boys Room is associated with a washroom or toilet which might have given a rather poor impression on BL's. One poster in particular referred to the board as The Catbox. During the term of Webmaster Ford Prefect a vote was held on BoyChat to rename the board to its present name, The Treehouse.
