How to embed Vimeo

I wasn't able to get it to work. But thanks for the help anyways.

Instead of vimeo, I just made a "Best of" video of complied clips and uploaded it Youtube. (The original video was around 31 min; this one is about 11) Probably best this way as that site is more well-known and could be more easily embedded in other places as well.

Oh my. I didn't have "show all content" on my browser so it must have blocked it. Before I only saw a light grey box - but now that it's on - I can see it and it works fine. But interesting that despite my mistake, even without showing all content, I'm able to see Youtube videos normally?... so yeah, works great!

Often, YouTube videos are displayed using the <YouTube> tag. Since Vimeo isn't as popular, it doesn't have a dedicated tag and instead uses the <video> tag. That might be why. Also nice to see you figured out how to edit the Dying Alone template. 09:12, 27 May 2013 (EDT)

Templates

Most series templates you may edit directly. In your article scroll down to the External links section and click Edit. From there click Show preview and scroll down. You will see an edit link for Dying Alone. Edit the template to add Marjan Siklic. Before saving, use Show preview. If you still have trouble let me know and I'll take a look. I'm sorry, but I believe this is all an elaborate deception by the real person trying to cover up his real name. He's using a slight Google translation difference between Croatian and English to mislead but make it seem accurate. Most likely, the dates/creation of everything he is referencing is probably after that original Whamburglerer blog. It's been two years since then and so he's had lots of time to make up fake accounts and false names. As such, we should look at things made before then just to be safe.

On your user talk and the IRC convo, he claims that the Whamburglerer site is using a mispelling of his name. Everything hinges on if whether it's "Marjan" or "Marijan". He says his name is Marijan and he says Marjan is a misspelling; I say his name is Marjan and I say Marijan is a mislead. To figure out the real name, let's look at what started it all: the Whamburglerer links.

1) Let's at least confirm it's the same identity of the current person in the article regardless of name, at the moment.

SadAndLonely on askmen On this page, whoever he is, deleted his posts after over 5 years. However, in this post which quoted him (something he couldn't remove), it talks about "1st July 2007". Such things are currently mentioned in the article's dating life photo and commentary. So, from here, we know that all those forum nicknames are of the same person. xxyy19 on asktheloveforum posts are consistent with SadAndLonely and with the current article. Unfortunately, all the other profiles or Archives have been taken down.

2) But, lets look at Tuzni djecak XXL or English translation "Sad Boy XXL"' on the Croation forum forum2.orbis.hr. Not only is he banned from this site thus meaning he cannot change anything but it also shows what his first name would look like in Croatian.

His most revealing threads (which would need to be translated) are Inability to approach the girls and suicide, How to get over what happened to me?, and Life as a void. So it's the same person as the person in my article.

3) Now for the name, in the thread Names and dates of birth, in the untranslated Croatian!, please search this "Marjan - Tužni_dječak_XXL". You will see that the very first name of all of this back in 2006 is Marjan. Not only that, from what I can see, even the Croatian into English translation has his name still as Marjan.

Because of all of these things which cannot be manipulated since they were made in the past before the fakes were made and before he got doxxed by the Whamburglerer, his name has to be Marjan and that Marijan is mislead. He wants the article removed because he wants to Take down ED.

You might also try to look at misleads of the "Marjan Siklic" name? I believe these are attempts to muddy the waters. For example, if you search images for "Marjan Siklic" you get directed to sites here and here, but this is actually someone else. I don't see why anyone would one would want to do this unless they might have wanted to push down the blog in the search results. However, he would probably had tried the same kind of misleads for the Marijan name as well just to keep up with the confusion.

I checked out the name itself and wikipedia says Marijan (pronounced like marian) is a common male Croatian name and that Marjan is another way to spell it but it's more common in Slovenia. IDK. He is, without a doubt, the person who contacted Schnookums and who created that libel blog. I didn't doubt it before, but now I know for a fact. Keep digging. He's threatening to dox people who didn't create the article, using it as an excuse, so show no mercy.

Phew, yeah. Looking at his previous edits he changed the whaamburgler blog to an attempt to defame Robert Pervis, who is a guy [robertpervisbcwatch.blogspot.com GGG tried to defame a while back], so it's really likely that it's him. Clean-Up Question

Usually the {{clean}} just means that the page is a mess (redlinks/formatting etc) and not that the article necessarily requires a complete re-write but if you've done that just copypasta the new one in... any images not being used any longer should probably go on the 'discussion' page. • Mr.Jonzz 19:10, 31 May 2013 (EDT)

Here is an article before and after I did some clean up. Notice I added YouTube and Gaming portals at the bottom of the page and added the article to the portal's related articles. Might also want to do the same with series templates and categories. The images were a bit large so I changed them into thumb nails. Some external links were changed into Facebook and Twitter link templates. Takes a while to learn it all but initiative is a good thing. You're welcome to ask us for any feedback. Oh, if you remove anything from an article, I would recommend explaining why in the edit summary. 20:45, 31 May 2013 (EDT)

Yes, the results speak for themselves. Have a look at Emilie Autumn (before and after) and Pussy-whipped (before and after). Encyclopedia Dramatica succeeds because a lot of users combine their talents. Some are good writers but not familiar with wiki markup. Others are funny but not so good at writing. I think you're on the right track. Also I like that you're keeping a list of articles on your userpage, it helps me locate articles to feature on the main page. And if you think something is good, suggest it for AOTN. We're not that picky. Sometimes I forget to look there so also bother me. I don't mind and encourage you to do so. 15:17, 5 June 2013 (EDT)

Re: Editing an article

We don't host dox on ED anymore, so pls do not add any dox to any articles. Vermin  

You can add dox to articles as long as you host them on another site, such as pastebin and link them here. The policy is against hosting, not them being in the article at all-Boudica 08:44, 12 February 2015 (EST)

We're moving away from that shitty image as a whole. Linking to a person's address/phone number etc isn't documenting drama on them, it's attempting to cause irl harm to them.
