ALERT: THIS IS A JEWGROUNDS MEME
Henry Stickmin is a meme that was shat from the bowels of Jewgrounds.

Henry Stickmin is an interactive cartoon movie series by animator PuffballsUnited. Originally released for flash Adobe Flash, the interactive movies are played through the flash emulator Ruffle. There are five cartoons in the series, with the latest being "completing the mission", released in August 2020. The earlier movies in the series were remastered with improved graphicss.[1]

YouTube thought they had stomped interactive content on the web by removing annotations.[2] They were wrong.

The iterations of the series are "breaking the bank", "escaping the prison", "stealing the diamond", "infiltrating the airship", "fleeing the complex", and "completing the mission". Each iteration added more paths of interaction.

Gameplay

At the beginning of the interactive movies, Henry starts out in a bad place or wants to steal valuable items.

The player gets several choices of what Henry should do next. Usually, only one of the choices leads to the next step while the the other choices lead to hilarious fails. For example, in "stealing the diamond", Henry tries placing the heavy diamond in the basket of his scooter, causing the torque from the weight of the diamond to catapult him off his scooter.

The user has to try all possibilities until finding the one that leads to the next step.

The interactive movies feature multiple storylines with different endings.[3]

Series

Stealing the diamond

Henry watches as the mayor presents the exhibit of a 12-million dollar diamond on television. Without further ado, he makes his way to the museum using a motor scooter.[4]

The game has three storylines. In the "Intruder on a scooter" storyline, Henry busts into the museum and steals the diamond by force, then escapes the police. In the "unseen burglar" storyline, Henry makes his way into the museum through the roof entry and sneaks out of the back door. In the "just plain epic" storyline, Henry breaks the wall of the museum to get in. A member of the "chaos containment center" sends in a robot that destroys the museum building and Henry runs away from the museum. As luck would have it, the diamond landed next to him outside the museum.

Memes and media references

The series contain many meme references to movies and games, such as Undertale (Mr. Macbeth scene in "completing the mission), Super Mario 64 (painting and bowser fight parody in "completing the mission"), and Pilotwings 64 (Jumble Hoppers in "stealing the diamond").[5]

The "mind crystal" from "completing the mission" is a reference to "The Sims".[6]

The fight against Mr. Macbeth, a train crew member in "completing the mission", is a parody of the "Undertale" game.

Charles is an ally of Henry and a helicopter pilot. Sometimes he crashes his copter into a building while singing "this is the greatest plan!" or variations thereof.

Characters

Henry is the main protagonist in the game.

Reactions

Games from the Henry Stickmin series have been reacted to by major YouTube channels, including Markiplier, ConCrafter, and DarkViper. [7][3][5]
