2 big projects: Image red link cleanup and main page rewrite.
K guys we are going to need help with a couple of things. The first is that the red links where missing images are in the articles is an eyesore, right? Well we don't want to lose the links because what happens if someone uploads them later? Here is a solution:
I want you guys to help me move red-linked images to the articles discussion/talk page. That way they are off the articles and we won't lose them. Easy right?
Next thing I need help with is an entire main-page rewite. This will be to include Video of the Now, Quote of the Now and other additions. Now I really hated the last main-page rewrite ED.com did with the blue and the round corners, so don't just copy that from cache, I want a brand new Main page, with many templates so we can change out the article of the now etc separately. I know at least one of you is proficient enough to be able to come up with something awesome. Get in touch with me if you want to go over ideas or if you have any questions or need help with anything leave me a message on my talk page.--zaiger (talk) 04:53, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
- On it. At the very least I'll definitely be able to move lots of the images around so their articles are cleaned up. - Vinland 13:31, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
I am thinking that maybe there should be a category or template for articles with missing image links moved to their respective talk pages, is this a good idea y/n? --zaiger (talk) 21:17, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
- Fully agree. Something to notify contributors they can search their HDDs for stuff stored/requested on the talk page. - Vinland 21:56, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
New ED Blog
Seeing as how we did not have a blog for ed.ch, I have launched a new one which can be found here. Don't worry about the current shitty design, I will improve it soon.

T'sup nigs?
It's good to be back. I was wondering who here is all from the old ED and who are some of the traitors? --One With The Lulz 03:04, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. I've seen you a few times too on the old ED. --One With The Lulz 05:13, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Update on philly
An update on that shit from philly I posted earlier, in the form of this. It seems that rather than accept the fact that their cops looked dumb for not knowing the law, the city intends to harrass anyone who dares wear a lisenced gun openly.
I dont want to get into the politics of it, but considering what started this in the news was audio of the cops being pigs getting jewtubed, and the cops not liking it, kinda makes it worth some mention. --Kashiwaba Tomoe 19:04, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
More IRL shit
As usualy mostly not article worthy, but could be used to add to existing ones.
1- Cathloc priest member of pedo group, with knowledge of his boss.
-2 Nice company bitched at for not giving a teen slut a refund for her prom dress, her bff died and she wanted to return it to pay for the funeral. This may almost be article worthy, if more shit happens.
-2 Arizona SWAT team raids a house, shoots the resident 60 times. They may have had the wrong house.... *1
--Kashiwaba Tomoe 16:08, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- Shit nigga. Couldn't the SWAT team shoot the slut with the dead friend and we could all be happy? 16:09, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- Cops no-knock warranting the wrong house and then killing somebody in it is surprisingly common. That's why I lol every time they pick a house with a gun owner and the pigs get killed. --One With The Lulz 18:54, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

TSA: now at your school proms
This will be dramalicious, considering two schoolgirls had the fuck groped out of them right off the bat last month, and filed a lawsuit against the same agent they brought over for the event. Pat downs for everyone!
- Vinland 20:53, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- UPDATE: The TSA Agents in question pussied out, despite their warm invitation to resume their jobs on-campus. - Vinland 15:35, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Meme Combining
As usual, the forced newfaggotry at OhShit lead them to believe they also have the right to steal and rape our articles as their own after stripping them of their original ownership. I fixed this one so it's ready for viewing again; please do as you see fit with it. - Vinland 15:32, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- What do you mean? They are copy/pasting ED articles and porting them Whatport80 style? --zaiger (talk) 02:50, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- ^Yes, precisely. I never ruined my shit like that, even on WP80, and I'm pretty fucking sure nobody agreed to have their articles fucked with like that without at least giving credit for the original. - Vinland 12:12, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

"This article is about an ED user"
What should we do with all of the articles that say the above, and have red links that go to user pages from ed.com?
15:52, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- I have been redirecting unregistered user-pages to their respective articles. IMO if their is no ed.ch account than we should remove the template. --zaiger (talk) 02:49, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed with zaig --Kashiwaba Tomoe 12:33, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Jimbo sides with DeHippo
ED.com has been replaced by OHI, according to Jimbo's "unbiased", "objective" tabloid. No mention of ED.ch. [[2]] This is absolute proof that Wikipedia is full of shit (as if anybody needed any more of that). HitlerYourNameIsTheSweetestMusic 21:44, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- There has been a dispute about it. We don't get mentioned until a reliable news source mentions us. And in our case, that means mainstream. 22:03, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

"Jason Scott's Archive of ED is not automatically notable because he put it together." I'm not allowed to mention the Archive Team in the article until Jason Scott makes a blog post or something. --JuniusThaddeus 23:24, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
These guys are picky, even with an essay written by a professor with a Ph.D. It appears as if they desire the source to be perfect. If this were a subject other than Encyclopedia Dramatica, there would be more leeway. --JuniusThaddeus 03:03, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
We just need to get written about somewhere that would constitute a reliable source. Any ideas?--zaiger (talk) 03:32, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- How about Gawker? --One With The Lulz 16:39, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Is Gawker a reliable enough source for TOW? I could probably get us written about there.--zaiger (talk) 23:22, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- The article already uses Gawker articles as sources, so there shouldn't be a problem. Ryan has done interviews in the past. Do you want to see if he wants to give an interview to someone about .ch? Zaiger, which Gawker reporter do you have in mind? Also, is anyone here an examiner.com contributor? --JuniusThaddeus 23:39, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- I was thinking about emailing Ryan Tate and Adrien Chen and asking them to write something on ED.ch. I have conversed with both of them about ED through email in the past. If our Ryan would do an interview about .ch that would prob be pretty good too. --zaiger (talk) 23:51, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Adrien Chen is your best bet for this, as he posted some kind of Twitter shit about us after .ch went online. 23:55, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- He is also very buddy-buddy with Sherrod though, so we have to be careful how we approach him. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should say?--zaiger (talk) 00:00, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Since .ch is over a month old, it wouldn't really be "news" unless we do an interview. Since it isn't news, we must treat this as if we're giving them a never-before-seen inside story. --JuniusThaddeus 00:33, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

I'm very happy about this thoughtful, productive responses. I'm also impressed about the extent of control you guys seem to have over "reputable sources". Srsly, good Sirs. I can't contribute much to this, because I have no rooting in American mainstream media. HitlerYourNameIsTheSweetestMusic 16:47, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

yes hello. the sidebar for the portals has a spelling error. Portal:BNA is shown as "Bad News Articles", but im pretty sure it should be "Bad New Articles". ! 01:06, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

How can I know the statistics and views of a specific article?
Alexa only provides the ones about the hole site, I would like the ones for some of the articles, thanks. --Polmas 14:25, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
- The very bottom of the page shows total pageviews, but they may not be correct because there are a few things that when done will reset the views like a page-move or revision deletion. Other than that you can go to Special:Statistics for some more information. --zaiger (talk) 14:31, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
