Intelligent Dance Music, also known as IDM and autismal spasmcore, is a batshit insane genre of electronic music that revolves solely around the concept of the sights and sounds that come with meth-induced fever dreams. IDM was created by some M-Cat-abusing chav faggot somewhere in England during the 90s, where it was vastly accepted by many appreciative music seekers.
How to make IDM
- Find a decent synthesizer and keyboard.
- Get two cats.
- Adjust dials on the synthesizer and keyboard so that all of their outputs are at the highest setting.
- Put one cat on the synthesizer and the other on the keyboard.
- Spray the cats with water while they are unaware.
- Laugh while they lose their shit.
- Record the music made from the cat seizures.
- ?????
- Post it to Jewtube for money.

It's not hard to see how IDM can be considered a pretentious form of music. Even those who create the music fucking hate the term "intelligent dance music", as it's not a certifiably intelligent form of music, nor is it groundbreaking. IDM is considered to be the auditory form of a chubby five-year-old crack baby flinging paint around on a canvas with no regard for what they are doing. Some artists have shown preference to the term "Braindance" over IDM, eschewing its pretentiousness while still actively maintaining its image of looking consistently unintelligent.
