I put that template on articles that have rapidly changing information, such as a recent High Score, or an insufferable lolcow who is making a fool of himself in real time. I've already talked about it with Umkemesik, and he said it was okay. It isn't meant to shit up the wiki, it's for things where there is definitely going to be an article for it.
