Welcome, Tehshigelisok

This is serious. READ IT.

Before making your first article look over ED:101. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being banned by ED Sysops.

We realize a lot of you are busy or may be new to ED, so here's just the most important info:

  • Read ED:101. Seriously. The information contained within is invaluable. Further tutorials of use can be found here.
  • To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page (Tab at the top that says 'discussion').
  • Sign your comments by using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
  • These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them. They're here to help; we promise.
  • The TJC is the community portal. It's linked to from every page; just look at the top left of the page. Check it daily.
  • Use Special:Upload to upload pictures. Be sure to give them meaningful names. Also, do not upload any CP or Bestiality pr0n or you will be b&.

  • See ED:HELP and ED:POLICY for everything else.

You think that AWOG is a shit article.

Well so do I. I just wanted this shitpost to fade into oblivion and leave me to forget about it and then I hear that you marked it under deathnotice. I have no problem with you doing so(because Bambifan fucked it up beyond recognition) but keep in mind that I still may or maynot be able to save it. DISREGARD THAT, I SUCK COCKS!  — Preceding comment added by SWfan (talkcontribs), who is too much of a fucking retard to sign their own posts. IT'S FOUR TILDES (~~~~), NOT ROCKET SCIENCE! 18:16, 9 December 2012 (EST)

because

it's old. The solution to bad articles is improvement, not deletion. If ED deleted sys32 there would be no bad articles. It doesn't hurt anything at all by being there. Mike the Great (talk) 22:45, 14 December 2012 (EDT)

Dead Images

When cleaning up dead and missing images in the future, please either move galleries to the article's talk page or comment out individual images like this:

removing strikethroughs

i agree with what youre doing by removing a lot of the strikethrough crap, however at times it can contain useful info and shouldnt be deleted. just as a forewarning because id rather not revert your edits. also like the above says, just comment the images out or (better) move them onto the talkpage instead of flat out removing them. thanks - DL | talk | contribs 20:28, 8 December 2013 (EST)

In my experience, strikethroughs are dealt with in the following manner:
  1. Don't use them when adding content.
  2. It's fine to remove them from new articles, provided you replace struck content with better content.
  3. Don't remove them from old, established articles, particularly those restored from old ED.
As for images, I was mistaken in my previous message. They should be both commented out and copied to the talk page.   VX BREATHE DEEP   23:06, 8 December 2013 (EST)

2011

Per Zaiger we're not deleting any articles from 2011. In general, instead of adding the {{deathnotice}} to an article, it is best to either improve it or find something else to work on. Sometimes an old dusty crap article gets improved unexpectedly. 15:34, 10 December 2013 (EST)
