Friendly advice on setting POTN

Join the ED Facebook group, they post dozens of images per day that are mostly new and relevant. Not all of what they post is good but the users there consistently post gems that can be used for POTN. Generally, you want to avoid posting very old images on picture of the now. Use the sidebar on the right, there should be a link for "Recent Group Photos" and you can just go through them like a slideshow when searching. I set plenty of old-but-gold content mainly because the modern internet is cancerous and shit. I try to go for a blend of the best new content and nostalgic lulz type shit. I'll fuck off with the older shit or at least limit it to like 1-3 / mo, but compare the POTN / VOTNs of 2011-2014 compared to 2015-16. You can't deny that lots of the shit I set is lulzy. Well I was setting XOTN for those years and honestly I think the stuff you put up is edgelord nonsense and really cringy. But that is subjective. The point is to keep the front page current. Yeah sure. Get rid of that ugly light-green color scheme. Maybe go for white or light blue or something easier on the eyes. Then the links can be more bold color so its easier to read. The light green is actually an official Rockstar color. It is the legit green colour from GTA. The link color-shadow is to mimic the font-type of the GTA games. Since ED is a gay, it does not support CSS3, so no actual font outline. CobaltCat 05:08, 22 September 2016 (EDT)
