Keroro
Keroro (ケロロ) is the main protagonist of Mine Yoshizaki's Keroro Gunso series. Keroro is a sergeant (軍曹 gunsou)[RANKS] and the leader of the Keroro Platoon (ARMPIT Platoon in the Funimation dub). His formal introduction is The Gamma Planetary System, the 58th Planet, Space Invasion Army Special Tactics Platoon Leader, Sergeant Keroro (ガマ星雲第58番惑星 宇宙侵攻軍特殊先行工作部隊隊長 ケロロ軍曹 であります Gama Seiun Dai Gojuuhachiban Wakusei, Uchuu Shinkougun Tokushu Senkou Kousaku Butai Taichou, Keroro Gunsou de arimasu), Keroro is an adult Keronian with green and white skin, with a yellow hat and star on his belly. The star insignia on his hat is red.
Whenever Keroro is caught in an explosion he is seen with a large comical black afro, which is a call to the anime's first ending sequence "Afro Sergeant". It has become a running gag throughout the series and even spans to other characters.
He has an affinity for disguises and is seen throughout the series with different wigs and costumes, meant as attempts to impersonate character archetypes for various schemes, as well as Pekoponian Suits for blending outside the house.
Tamama
Tamama (タママ) is the private second class (二等兵 nitouhei) [RANKS] of the Keroro Platoon in the series Keroro Gunso. He is the newest and youngest member of the Keroro Platoon, and is best known for his frequent mood swings, amama's body color is navy blue in the anime and black in the manga. The symbol on his hat is the green-and-yellow Shoshinsha mark, which is used in Japan to designate a new driver, reflecting Tamama's young age, which is also apparent in his tadpole tail. The color of his afro, when seen, is red. In Kero 0: Depart! Assembly of Everyone!!, he originally wears a red tie with a wakaba symbol before receiving his symbol.
Tamama does not have the blank, staring eyes of a typical male Keronian, his eyes being as expressive as a human or a female Keronian.
Kururu and Giroro
Kururu (クルル), or Kululu, is a main character in the anime and manga series Keroro Gunso. He is a Sergeant Major (曹長 souchou) [RANKS] and the Strategy and Communications Staff Officer of the Keroro Platoon. Kururu's name has been romanized as 'Kululu' in the English manga as of the eleventh volume. Furthermore, all of the books previous to this have been republished with the name replacement. In the manga Kururu stated that Kululu is his stage name, Giroro (ギロロ) is a main character from the series Keroro Gunso. He is ranked as the corporal (伍長 gochou), Giroro is the single unit mobile infantry of the Keroro Platoon. He has proven to be very strong and resilient, and has been training to be a soldier nearly his entire life.
Dororo
Dororo (ドロロ), formerly known as Zeroro (ゼロロ), is a main character in the anime and manga series Keroro Gunso. He is of the rank Lance Corporal (兵長 Heichō)[RANKS] and he is a part of the Keroro Platoon. He is a kindhearted pacifist but also a fierce fighter. He used to be one of the best assassins in the Keron Army, but upon arrival on Earth he chose a life of serenity as a ninja, and swore to protect the planet.
