Jeff Weise/FOIA

An anonymous individual filed an FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) to the FBI, requesting information on the Red Lake case. The following information contains segments of the full data received.

In response to a FOIA request, the FBI sent me about 500 pages of a heavily redacted report on the Red Lake shooting. There were no outstanding revelations, though there was more evidence that there were at least two other people who were supposed to have participated had they not backed out. They did not include eyewitness statements, however, which are the most important items of evidence.

pg4 of 233 Three Minneapolis FBI Victim/Witness Specialists arrived on-scene last night. The remaining seven Minneapolis Division's Victim/Witness Specialists will arrive in Red Lake on 3/22/2005.

Witnesses give a statement to police on what they saw. Why would the FBI need a 'specialist' to take a statement? Maybe their real purpose is to finagle a statement from the witness that conforms to the official line.

pg6 of 233 An interviewee advised that two male students may have had advanced notice of the shootings. Allegedly, the male students stated that Weise was not supposed to carry out the shootings until the end of this week(Friday was 3-25). ....On 3-22-05, the 10 corpses from the Red Lake shooting were delivered to the Ramsey County Medical Facility, St. Paul, MN for autopsies.

Just like Columbine, they apparently left the dead victims at the location overnight. I am once again baffled as to why they leave the corpses there that long.

pg14 of 233 ...an additional chat log detailed a chat between neonecrosis(Weise), (redacted) and (redacted). This chat regarded the formation of soundtracks by (redacted) to play during the shooting of students at Red Lake High School.

pg59 of 233 Witness says he spoke with two juveniles(not Weise) in the fall of 2004 who told him "that they were planning 'to shoot up their school like Columbine.'

pg60 of 233 Due to an error by RLHS personnel, no exterior footage exists for the day of the school shooting, March 21, 2005. The exterior recorders were not turned off after the shootings and they continued to record on subsequent days, thereby recording over the events of March 21st.

It's deja vu all over again!

pg72 of 233 Weise posted on rebandvodka Community-a live journal for about a year.

Weise was last seen 12:30 to 1:30pm, when he indicated to an aunt that he would go for a walk. He was next seen entering the Red Lake HS alone at approximately 2:50pm. Thus he was absent for a period of time where no one knew where he was.

pg174 of 233 The shooting at the Lussier/Sigana household has two critical questions: 1) Where did Weise get the .22 ammunition for his pistol, which is believed to have been owned by (redacted)(who has denied knowledge of the weapon)? It is known from interviews that just a short time before the shootings Weise was seeking to obtain ammunition for that weapon. 2) Sigana was initially shot with the .22 pistol, but, even though Weise still had ammunition for the .22 Ruger, she was shot again with the grandfather's .40 cal Glock service pistol. Both questions could point to the involvement of a second or more individuals in the shootings at the Lussier/Sigana home. Of particular interest in this regard is that two known conspirators of Weise's, (redacted line) both of whom had admittedly agreed to assist Weise in a school shooting spree but allegedly withdrew some time prior to 3/21/05, remain unaccountable for the time period when the Lussier/Sigana murders took place, estimated between 12:30pm and 2:50pm on 3/21/05.

pg197 of 233 Among many search terms used to comb Wiese's chatroom conversations, are the following: du hast freedom ring with a shotgun azreal natural selection good wombs hath born verlassen4 20

PART 2

pg206 of 300 Through forensic examination of Weise's computer, logs of Instant Messaging text between Weise and others were recovered that clearly documented the involvement of the three youths in a plot to commit a school massacre.

pg208 of 300 A drawing found in another Weise journal depicts three heavily armed youths committing a school massacre. ... Interestingly, the character that most resembles (redacted) is carrying a Tech-9 handgun, the same weapon that (redacted) was planning to steal in the instant messenger exchange February 11, 2005....

I received another FOIA FBI release on 5-15-13 in a CD format. The handwritten notes from the interviews are barely readable, but there were a few tidbits:

Section 2

pg12 of 59 Notes of interviews (Redacted) and Weise engrossed in Columbine

pg14 of 59 Notes of interviews Google search engine - to get to Columbine.. Kliebold Harris strong... couple days, maybe more

pg18 of 59 Notes of interviews (Redacted) discussed a school shooting idea for video production

Section 3

pg14 of 95 Interview of (Redacted): Subject was using a black assault rifle + wearing black trench coat

Section 7

pg3 of 70 Interview of (Redacted): --I heard shooting looked at the school and saw a cop car. (Probably the vehicle belonging to his grandfather that Weise drove to the school.) --We ran into the house. --Heard more shots and saw bunches of people running out of the school screaming. --Saw a couple of (redacted) boys close to the corner, they were standing by. --One kid with blond hair, they appeared to be mad, one kid was holding his head. --Kid with long hair, long black jacket. He was saying a bunch of stuff basically cussing. --Before shooting saw these two. --They walked to the fence and stood there they were still cussing appeared to be minors(?) ... watched until the kids start running out. --Three minutes before shooting started.

This one might be referring to a confederate seen in the cop car Weise drove to the school: pg17 of 70 Handwritten Notes: It looked like someone was on the passenger side. Did not know it was Jeff, I'm not positive if there were two. Saw him turn toward school. Then a short while after start hearing gun shots. Then saw other people running away from school.

pg67 of 70 Interview of (Redacted): --Jeff was still shooting, while everyone was running out. --all ran towards the front entrance, cop car sitting right at front. .. --he thinks that Jeff was somewhat brainwashed.

Section 11

pg45 of 54 Interview of (Redacted): (Redacted) said 2 shooters on roof 2 in school, .... (Redacted) got it from me, probably. I heard it from supervisor (Redacted).

(Though this is the only reference to other shooters that I could find, so I tend to discount it.)

The last release:

FOIA FBI RELEASE 6-20-13 CD
