Double Take

From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Double Take is, very possibly, the worst band ever to exist. Consisting of a pair of stuck-up, spoiled, bratty 17 year old girls from California named Lauren Willey and Drew Garrett, this band makes even the likes of Rebecca Black seem like super-talented geniuses whose work must be preserved and cherished for all eternity. The two girls behind this abomination are in fact tone deaf and utterly incapable of singing, and therefore actually talk instead of sing throughout their music videos. After releasing a song called Hot Problems that many critics have called the worst song ever, the band went viral on Youtube (where else?), garnering several million views. At first, the two teenage dipshits behind this fiasco thought their music was going to elevate them to superstardom, but then realized that over 90% of the reviews were negative. Capitalizing as best they could on their infamy, they decided to make a Youtube channel aimed at both promoting themselves and trolling the Youtube community for views, and also became a Youtube partner, thus laughing all the way to the bank as millions of Youtube viewers stared in horrified fascination at their horrible, horrible music videos.

The Abomination Goes Viral: Their First Song, Hot Problems

Lauren Willey and Drew Garrett: dipshit duo extraordinaire.

This song consists of the two 17 year old brats narcissistically whining about how horribly difficult it is to be a hot girl - how girls gossip about them out of spiteful jealousy, and about how creepy guys just won't leave them alone. Aside from the nauseating message of "I am so incredibly awesome that my shit is worth its weight in gold", the song features a shitty, generic beat, horrific bleeps and beeps that sound like an autistic five year old playing around on a synthesizer, and of course, terrible lyrics that were conceived by the two dipshit girls in two hours, probably while intoxicated or hopped up on meth. Unfortunately, this song caused such a level of revulsion among listeners that it earned them interviews with major news organizations, such as ABC, in which the two girls attempt to promote themselves and brush off criticism, even as the newscasters insinuate that their music might in fact be the worst ever to exist. It was also revealed in one of these interviews that the song Hot Problems causes milk to instantly spoil and causes pieces of furniture to break themselves in agony. Whether or not this will result in eventual lawsuits against the two morons responsible for this mess remains to be seen.

The Second Song: An Even Greater Level Of Fail

If you look closely at the picture, you can see visible vibrations of USI.

Capitalizing on the amazing success of their first song, Lauren and Drew decided it would be a fantastic idea to make a song almost identical to their first, but even more idiotic and annoying. This song is called Princess, and describes how the entire world is infatuated with the two girls. Clearly, this was an attempt to troll Youtube to garner more views, and thus, more money. However, by this time, everyone had stopped paying attention to these two airheads, and additional interviews on national television were not forthcoming. On the bright side for Lauren and Drew, however, this song did result in a great many death threats and obscene comments, which reassures us all that there is still a fair amount of sanity and intelligence left in the human race after all.
