Darling in the FranXX (a.k.a. Darling, You're All Cucks or Filthy in the FranXX and Evangelion for Zoomers) is a 2018 animu series by Studio Trigger that features many of the same staff as Clothes: The Animated Series and ROW ROW: FIGHT THE POWAH. The series features a highly original plot about a group of teenagers called Parasites who are forced to pilot giant robots called FranXX that are powered by heterosexuality and were created by Megaman's arch-nemesis, Dr. Wily. Much like Revolutionary Girl Utena did with sword duels, Darling in the FranXX makes piloting giant mecha into one giant metaphor for fucking and every single episode involves at least one of the teenagers getting cucked by their main love interest.
tl;dr: This anime is basically the bastard son of Gurren Lagann and Evangelion.
The majority of people who watch this shit are mainly edgy 12-16 years old tiktokers who thinks they are Depressed or Edgelords who likes to act "Deep". and Naturally, the denizens of internet shithole Tumblr are not fans of this show as the giant robots cannot be piloted by fags, dykes or "non-binary" fuckwits. Evangelion fans despise this show to it's guts for "a lot of the things the show copied from Eva", Althought the coomers on 4gag's /a/ Would probably enjoy this crap for all of those "hot" 2D Bitches.
Characters
Zero Two
A girl with pink hair and horns who is part dinosaur and has a tendency to kill people. Yes, she is literally just Lucy from Elfen Lied.
Hiro
A generic-as-fuck anime protagonist who is literally just every male anime protagonist ever created. Was probably meant to be a stand in for you when the creators were considering making this a hentai. He starts turning into a blueberry like that fat girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but is cured one episode later by the power of wanting to waifu Zero Two.
Ichigo
Hiro's childhood friend and the team leader of Squad 13. The series' running joke is that she has the hots for Hiro and he's too fucking stupid to notice. She gets cucked constantly and is forced to watch as her lifelong crush fucks Zero Two in front of her in every episode.
Dr. FranXX
Klaxosaurs
Giant blue electric razor monsters that want to suck all of the magma out of the plantations.
