NPD vs HPD

The best way to tell the difference is to check and see if they're "numbers crazy". Some examples:

• "This is the best in the world because I spent over NINE THOUSAND HOURS making it!"
• "I used over 40,000 individual colors with a canvas over 7,000 pixels wide!"
• "I have the HIGHEST IQ in this whole group!"
• "My post is over 900 lines, yours was only 3 lines, so you lose." (also wanting to get the last post in)
• "I have TONS of people supporting me in the e-mails!"
• "I can type at a billion words per minute!"
• "I own over TWO THOUSAND Pokumans!"
• "It took you FIVE DAYS to reply, it only took me TWENTY SECONDS! I win!"

Basically if they constantly over exaggerate quantity over quality. If you genuinely have a ~reason~ to be vain and/or arrogant than you're typically not a narcissist. Most people think that narcissism is just arrogance, but rather it's FALSE, UNWARRANTED arrogance, based largely on quantitative, biased, flawed reasoning. Otherwise it's usually a product of HPD. And many overly creative types who actually have a genuine reason to be a bit arrogant, often suffer from some form of HPD. In this case though, the guy is quite clearly schizoid above all else and seems to have a pretty nasty case of HPD on top of it...likely because his life is boring and pathetic. --Onideus 05:56, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Irvin says everything is billions of dollars and billions of years ago, and remember how many walked away with him over Rappelz; the cluster b personality disorders seem fitting, i.e. narcissism with a touch of the antisocial is my interbutts diagnosis.
