- Google of his name led to his employer, a glass company in Chicago – this correlated with his "Joeglass" screen name.
- Public records search confirmed a Joseph Schramer with matching Chicago area location and age.
- Netlog profile for joeglass626 confirmed his age, occupation and location. This profile also contained other Boylover.net members as "friends".
- He was also linked to a Myspace photography service profile; this again confirmed his name and location.
