Aqua (real name withheld for his protection) is a young teen who, at the tender age of 12, came in contact with the online pedophile community at BoyChat. Like many teens questioning who they are, he was probably looking for support and acceptance, but what he found instead was Rookiee.
Although Aqua is a bright, intelligent, young lad, Rookiee was able to prey upon his vulnerabilities, managing to infuse Aqua's way of thinking with his own views and ideas regarding pedophilia. Rookiee made Aqua feel important, and took measures to make sure that he would continue to feel that way throughout their one and a half year relationship. Rookiee invited Aqua to participate in several episodes of the now defunct Pedologues podcast series, as well as having had him contribute to a blogging community called "Paiderastia", giving him a sense of belonging and acceptance. As a result of Rookiee's brainwashing, Aqua spent much of his online time actively speaking out against age of consent laws, and projecting that pedophiles are not dangerous people.
While Aqua did Rookiee's bidding for him, Rookiee continued to work in grooming the boy for his future needs. Rookiee began working on Aqua's parents, trying to gain their trust, by asking if he could take Aqua places and spend time with him. Fortunately, Aqua's Mother had refused. Eventually, through the hard work and tireless efforts of Perverted-Justice.com, Aqua's true identity would come to light. Aqua's parents were notified and a much relieved Aqua has now broken free of Rookiee's grip. To quote Aqua, "He had groomed me into being putty."

Our Investigation
- As we were investigating Rookiee and his online activist projects, we discovered that someone using the screen name "Aqua" was closely involved with Rookiee and his efforts.
- In studying posts made by Aqua, we learned that he was actually a young teenaged boy. It soon became clear that Rookiee had impressed this young boy and that he had taken him under his wing. Realizing that grooming is a major tool used by pedophiles to access their victims, our volunteers then shifted their focus to finding out Aqua's true identity.
- Searching through every piece of information our volunteers could find on the internet about Aqua, we were able to piece together enough information to reveal Aqua's true identity. As soon as the information was confirmed through reliable sources, officials were brought into the case and Aqua's parents were contacted.
