TOP LEL
TOP LEL

Top Lel is a meme commonly associated with 4chan's /sp/ board. It originates/derives from two separate memes; 'Top Gun', which comes from the movie Workaholics, and 'lel', a meme which is a corruption of lol with the 'le' phrase associated with reddit and 9fag, two popular rival sites of 4chan.

Modern Lel

Today the meme thrives on 4chan's /s4s/ board, being that it was already a beacon for ironic shitposting. However, it would seem that 4chan is growing bored with lel and is beginning to move on to brighter horizons: kek. More on that here.
