Block Reduction

• I know. I didn't say that the 15-hour block was for the placement of the image. I merely told ImmortalCake89 that I agree with you in order to prevent another edit war when the 15-hour block expired. ImmortalCake89 only added the auto-playing YouTube video into the article once, and after you reverted him or her, he or she didn't reinsert it back into the article. The edit warring afterwards regarded the image, so I wasn't concerned about an edit war starting over the auto-playing video. There isn't any edit warring or inserting silly sounds into the article now, and a three-day block wasn't necessary to make all this happen; a 15-hour block was enough. --JuniusThaddeus 23:42, 31 October 2013 (EDT)

• Yeah the ban was only to stop the flooding of the RC with edit warring, not to actually permanently block him off the site in any way, if he asked Uber to undo it with the promise that he wouldn't keep edit warring I would have had no problems with his unbanning right then and there. Instead he went to Uberfukken and said he was banned ~just~ for posting an image, rather than telling the truth of what happened and telling him that he would stop doing it.

I mostly blocked him in response to his comment because he made it abundantly clear that he had no intention at all of stopping and was acting on the commands of another user (Schnookums I'd be willing to bet, who has a colorful history of vandalizing the wiki). That and it was escalating, first with the image, then with the hidden YouTube track, it was obviously getting out of hand and it was obvious that he had no intention of stopping at the time or starting a discussion about it in the talk page.

I generally base such temporary bans on contributions to the wiki, the more a person contributes, the shorter the ban will be. And, like I said, the bans are simply to stop things from escalating and to force people to "cool off" so to speak, they're not to actually block the person permanently from the site.

Like I told Gretchen...

For reference, take a moment to review Gretchen's talk page. My recommendation is that you avoid the Onideus Mad Hatter article. For Onideus this article is extremely personal and he is incapable of being objective. Everyone pretty much it is now a self-masturbatory article. And no, you were not lying to Zaiger. Keep in mind that Onideus has this thing for always being correct, at least in his mind anyways. When I was an administrator, I wouldn't have banned someone for 3 days just for having a little fun. But keep in mind, for Onideus, this is personal. The point is, reality doesn't apply to him, so it is just to find somewhere else to contribute. I am not saying this is right or how a wiki should be administered, but it is what it is. Anyways, he's been avoiding me on the forums because he can't handle the truth. The fact is he was abused by his parents, by his own admission, and now he desperately seeks abuse from others because that is all he knows and understands.
