Talk:Emilie Autumn

From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Jump to navigationJump to search

I think it's time we discuss her apparent hospitalization AFTER Opheliac. Quote "And that’s just the junk you know about…the personal stuff, well…that’s something else…everybody thinks that my actual obliteration attempt and subsequent incarceration within the maximum security psych ward occurred before “Opheliac” was written and released, and I’ve let them think it, preferring not to comment, because it doesn’t matter, and I don’t like to go into the details of the wheres and whens. But it wasn’t before “Opheliac.” It was after." - Emilie Autumn [1]

Not sure how everyone feels about this or if anyone has done any research into her Stockhill quotes. I just find it odd that she wrote an album about something that hasn't happened yet. --TheLadieLoki 18:04, 18 June 2012

The Gallery section has been cleaned up now. --RevQ 13:52, 18 October 2011 (CEST)

We need moar pics in the various sections -- if anyone can find any lulzy, crap fanart, that would be perfect for the "Fans" section xD I'm going to hunt through the earliest pages on the Reform, and see if I can find some funny manips as well. --RevQ 04:40, 16 October 2011 (CEST)

Attrition/EA drama: Just sticking this quote here for future use, thought it was quite relevant for a future section on the dramaz. "02:33 pm - Weighing in on OMG drama (Attrition/Emilie Autumn)

So my jaw dropped wide open when I read an email this morning from Martin Bowes about the drama that has unfolded since All Mine Enemys Whispers has been up for presales on project.com. In short, she recorded material for Martin well over a year ago for this project, both violin and voice, and other people recorded material including Ned Kirby and myself. Martin sent me lots of drafts to listen to to see what he'd done with my spooky cello, which I always thought was cool. I never signed any kind of contract, nor did we discuss payment, but this was not an issue to me at all since I recorded myself in my own home which really didn't take that much time, and I was just really happy to be working with Attrition (I used to dance around to Attrition in my bedroom a lot when I was a little high school goth) and I knew this wasn't going to be a huge moneymaker.

Apparently now Emilie Autumn and her lawyer are harassing the bejeezus out of poor Sam at Projekt, and she's made public statements that the recording was done without her permission and people shouldn't buy it and Attrition is riding EA's coattails (guffaw). You can read the official word from EA's camp, plus a bunch of idiotic comments here: http://www.forum.emilieautumn.com/viewtopic.php?t=6173

The fact is that Martin tried and tried to get in touch with her about the recording, probably for about a year as the release got delayed, and even wrote to her label, and never heard thing one. Now she's complaining that he made her violin sound out of tune, and that the recording was never intended for an Attrition CD.

In case anyone wonders, my official position is, yes it would have been more prudent of Martin to not include her work without an actual contract, but it's about a billion times more wrong of EA's people to be causing a huge scene about this now when she had ample opportunity to cancel her involvement ahead of time. When you record a track for someone for a collaboration and send it to them, approval on the release is implied unless you say, "OK here's my track, please let me have final approval." Especially in this scene. But maybe she forgot what it's like to not be a superstar? Now, I don't know all the particulars and I'm not trying to condemn her outright, but the whole thing is pretty ridic.

The punchline is, the print run was only 1000."

Needs a Rewrite

This was a good article once. The fuck happened to it? It's a fucking mess of lol so randum XD that reads like katy, t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m!!!!!!!! has been at it. - Cleveland Bay II - Return Of Cleveland Bay 14:39, 25 April 2012 (EDT)

I'm attempting a rewrite which should be done in a few days. In my brief reading, the article is rather wordy so even a summary might be much help? I'll update this when I'm done the first draft of when I'm stuck.

okay, did it. I'll leave the removal of that "needs clean-up" logo for someone else of authority if they think it's alright.

June 1 rewrite

Just a summary of the things I did in the rewrite.

Deletions

I did delete one picture that seemed out of place. Female bodybuilder of File:Sunshine Fritzges.png. It's supposedly her sister? Either way, the pic didn't really git the article but I added the line about her. But if anyone really wants it back they are free to add. I also deleted the missing picture files (Cap1.gif, Cap2y.gif, Cap3.gif, Cap5.gif.)

Things I left out

Current line up of the Bloody Crumpets, deleted list of CDs and their cost,

Merged all the forum drama, drama, and social media stuff into one section. Because the article was mostly this, this merge cut the original article's tl;dr length in nearly half. I deleted some of the dumb examples of trolling in something that appeared to be a forum war. Most of it seemed to be obscure references to in-jokes which only people of the forum would know and understand? (Think the article was written by mostly one person so lots of detail for something minor)

However, I kept the last section of "The Reform" as I had deleted and/or merged so much other similar stuff. Also, that kept the article more balanced so it's not 1/2 forum drama or something.

I don't personally have much to contribute here, but I just wanted to say that I think it's hilarious that this famous Emilie Autumn stalker wrote his weird rambling tale into the ED entry as if it were a third-person account. It's so lulzy I think it should be left to stand as its own, but enclosed in quotes so that readers are aware that this account was, in fact, written by the very deluded and lonely man the story details. You can read more about the man's story here, if anyone who actually gives a shit feels the need to detail it more accurately for maximum lulz. http://waywardvictorianconfessions.tumblr.com/post/87707430742/waywardvictorianconfessions-the-short-story-in
