/v/ involved?

Seriously, this sounds like a successful /v/ trolling. /v/irgin trolls someone (with obvious /v/ name, like Jimmy Rustles) using a blame target (9gag) and causes mass bawwtism. Still, since she's older, can she count beyond potato now? -  15:34, 26 April 2012 (EDT)

the gawker article blames FunnyJunk. :\ -hipcrime   16:00, 26 April 2012 (EDT)

As I understood it, it wasn't really trolling. Nobody actually intended to upset anybody. Somebody just used a random picture of a little Downs syndrome kid for their Advice Dog spinoff and then, years later, the parents of said Downs syndrome kid discover their daughter's image being used in the meme, don't understand the joke and get buttmad. - Cleveland Bay II - Return Of Cleveland Bay 16:08, 26 April 2012 (EDT)

and ^that should be the gist of the article. the version of the article brought over from .com shows that nobody really cared about this at all, until now. the motive of the parent(s) is suspect because they showed Heidi the images. that is cruel, and i dont think Heidi would have ever known or cared, had mommy not wanted to stir up some shit. -hipcrime   16:19, 26 April 2012 (EDT)

Mothers stupid falt!

So let me get this straight. This meme has been propagating across the Internet for years. No one knew who it was in the picture, and nobody cared. Now all of a sudden her mother has kicked up a fuss over the image, and now everybody knows that the meme is the girl that goes by the name of Heidi Crowter. Now I've looked into this, and I have found that Heidi Crowter actually has her own website which I'm guessing her mum set up. (Now baleeted) On that website there are pictures of her plastered all over a gallery, and now she's complaining that the Internet is doing what it's been doing for years?

Well done. She has put her daughter in the spotlight, and has now completely ruined her life.

Note: While delving into the cesspool of /b/ yesterday. Some people were talking about sending 20 pound bags of potatoes to her address. There was no solid evidence that anyone actually sent the bag, so disregard this as necessary.
