Call me crazy...

But I'm doubting the web relevance. Save the whales! Adolph-in Hitler needs an army! 01:18, 25 December 2014 (EST)

It's pretty popular with furfags and with lesser cultured teenage wannabe hipster trash who thinks having seen it makes them some kind of a speshul little snowflake. Could be expanded though... like mention the fact that 90% of the film is shoddy outdated rotoscoping of live action filming (most all of that hack Bakshi's work is), plus a lot of the audio was basically just taken from real life scenarios, like the scene with the Jewish lions, that was actual live recordings of real Jews. Quality animation it is not. --U Mad Bro 02:31, 25 December 2014 (EST)
Actually, to be honest, an article about Bakshi would actually be better, imho. --U Mad Bro 02:36, 25 December 2014 (EST)
It's only real claim to fame was that it's the first animated film to receive the X rating. This fact is only relevant to hipsters and film students; beyond that it's a shit film. I'd say delete it since it has little internet relevance, if any to be honest, but it's gotten 4k+ page views since its creation in November; according to zaiger that's grounds enough for us to keep it. I'll see if I can't dig up an appropriate tag to slap on the article to get some further discussion going on whether to keep it or not. Talk | Contribs 02:39, 25 December 2014 (EST)
The 4k might be because of its listing as a BNA. I have no doubt that it's "popular" amongst furfags, but then again what isn't, and what other relevance does it have as a source of drama that we can play off of? Those are my main questions about this article.
In the meantime while that discussion takes place I'll try to add shit in even if it's little by little so it isn't an embarrassing copypasta of wikipedia's entry in case it is kept. If it isn't, eh, I don't care. Save the whales! Adolph-in Hitler needs an army! 02:43, 25 December 2014 (EST)
Jesus, it got put on the BNA list on the same day it was made. It's been there since November 9th with very little improvement, but I'm going to be generous and give it till the first of the year before I flush it myself; unless someone speaks up with a reason to keep it that is. Talk | Contribs 02:58, 25 December 2014 (EST)
Just to be clear, by that you mean something more than a vague "it's popular with furfags?" Save the whales! Adolph-in Hitler needs an army! 03:01, 25 December 2014 (EST)
Yes, however if by January 1 it's improved to the point that it's actually a good article then I won't flush it. I'm not the end all voice on what lives or dies here on the wiki, that's zaiger, I'm just one admin; hence all the tags on the article trying to bring attention to the discussion. I'm reluctant to delete an article without input from others, unless a fair amount of time has passed since said discussion has started; I think a week is more than enough time for both improvement and input in this case. Talk | Contribs 03:16, 25 December 2014 (EST)

What don't you get about the goal of ED being to add content, not remove it? "Sex" and "furfaggotry" are both ED-relevant topics, and they were both properly added at the bottom of the article. It also obviously qualifies for TV & Movies. Either expand/improve the article, or leave it for someone else to. We've got plenty of space, and this ain't Wikipedia. There's no reason to delete someone's work if it doesn't violate any actual policies.

Image Dump

[Collapse GalleryExpand Gallery]

There's some image stuffs... there's not a whole lot of good material, at least not from the halfass Google searches I ran. Zaiger isn't likely to let the article be flushed, simply because it's a media/culture thing. I mean you might as well be trying to argue the Internet relevancy of The Simpsons article or any of several hundred other cartoon related articles that don't have anything to do with the Internet at all. It does need improving though, it's not very good the way it is. I'm going to bed now, I might take a crack at it later. --U Mad Bro 03:26, 25 December 2014 (EST)

I might upload some more later on, if anyone wants to add them in now it's fine. It could be done as two seperate galleries, one for "art" and then another for general images, or you could just pick and choose from the other five and include them on the right hand side, whatever works. --U Mad Bro 00:05, 26 December 2014 (EST)
I'll use this as the basis for a gallery, omitting some of the pics (such as that tumblr-grade too-short panting gif). More images can be added later, and I'll try to find some more later. Save the whales! Adolph-in Hitler needs an army! 00:11, 26 December 2014 (EST)
I uploaded a few more just now, mostly more bad art and one stock photo of the pig cops. One idea might be to do a section on each of the racial stereotypes depicted in the movie, mostly the Jew lions, the pig cops and the nigger crows. --U Mad Bro 00:26, 26 December 2014 (EST)
You don't need any special permission to directly alter the article. Upload whatever you want as long as it's funny. Save the whales! Adolph-in Hitler needs an army! 15:30, 26 December 2014 (EST)

why, even one furfag admin saved this article from destruction so that he could jack off to the gallery.

The cartoonist who made this

Also made a whole bunch of great racist cartoons like "what if niggers take over the world" shit like that. It'd prolly be better to do a whole page including Fritz (awesome movie btw) and the cartoonist who made it, I think he actually also drew the highly popular "Keep on trucking" cartoon that was big in the 60s/70s. --TROLAHOAR (talk) 09:33, 25 December 2014 (EST)
