| Vera's been my main personal character since about '99, though she's changed drastically along with me over the years. She's basically me, perosnality-wise. She's garish, exotic, curious, a nature-lover, loyal, clumsy, awkward, goofy, adventurous, strong yet gentle, a great swimmer & climber, but a terrible runner. She's intense & emotional, with the occasional mood swing, much like a cat. Her biggest faults are her anger & bitterness, but she struggles to not allow it to rear its ugly head too often. She can be suspicious & paranoid of new people; putting on a bolder face to present herself as someone who won't be tricked or taken advantage of... but when around her loved ones, she becomes a squishy, affectionate kitten. She's the opposite of "cool", personality-wise, being that she actually gives a shit about what people think of her and thus, can be easily broken. This also makes her incredibly introverted and hermit-like. Her stubbornness may be a weakness or a strength, depending. She's very self-aware and quietly beats herself up a lot; she's her own worst enemy, most of the time.

| Her strengths include loyalty, motherliness, protectiveness, the occasional streak of wisdom when it's needed, and honesty. She's an open book with few secrets. Being mysterious takes too much effort and leaves too much up to the imagination for her liking. She prefers to put it all out there and let people take her or leave her right then and there, so she doesn't have to deal with them leaving later after discovering something they don't like, once she's already become attached to them.

| Her faults tend to be amplified in her plushie form, but many of her good qualities are, as well... Besides her appearance and other physical traits becoming more unrealistic and fantastic, she becomes quite a bit more emotionally... unstable. I feel more like her in this form when I'm feeling trapped in my dream world where everything is alive, unpredictable and frightening. Vera becomes almost like some kind of "mad hatter" personality in this form; with varying personalities and a bit of a manic, invincible flair. Every moment is like a neverending episode of dissociation; like she's half asleep and halfway in a nightmare at all times, having difficulty separating reality from fantasy. I personally have AiWS, night terrors, and a highly overactive imagination (not as strong as when I was little, but they've always been there), which combined makes me feel a bit mad and out of control of myself. It's a scary feeling. So while Vera may be acting confident and overbearing in this form, part of what drives her madness is the fear she has of herself, and how her madness tends to overpower her better instincts and true desires. As long as she's feeling loved and comforted, or has someone to love and comfort, it's not usually so bad it becomes dangerous. But she's always on the brink, so anything may set her off and either scare or enrage her into a fit of madness. She never stops smiling, no matter how upset she may be... always smiling.
