Equivelant exchange or a closed circle.

God of War 2018 is a reboot of the original series but instead of being an Anal loving Greek, Kratos makes the long journey, from Sparta, to the far North for some White, Nordic pussy and somewhere during all this - he has a kid out of it named Loki, or rather Atreus.

The whole plot revolves around the whole idea that time is a closed circle and creatures such as the Midguardian Serpent can be sent back to before their creation and even meet their Father before they were born due to events that happen during Ragnorak or the end of the world. This, for the writers' of the game, allows the idea and believability of prophesy, fate and destiny because as everything has already happened it is meant to happen in the same way again and again.
