Proposed redirect to Epic Win

^ Google search pulls up something a deviantartist thought of, and this page, despite having only 500 views and being less than a week old, is still on the result's first page. It's completely non-notable. Mike the Great (talk) 19:14, 9 May 2012 (EDT)

I agree that this page should be redirected to Epic Win. The whole front this article is covering is already mentioned in that article, the fact that the term has been claimed by cancerous 13 year old boys and it's true meaning has lost all significance is literally covered in the first paragraph. And yet the phrase 'epic win' is still used completely unironically across this wiki to describe results/outcomes that are inarguably positive, beneficial and funny. 'Epic ween', by comparison, is an overwhelmingly negative thing. Personally, I think that if anything, it should remain it's own article so that people understand that there is a difference between the two.

If it is to be redirected, perhaps 'epic ween' should be made into a subsection on the 'epic win' page for precisely this reason? - Cleveland Bay II - Return Of Cleveland Bay 19:28, 9 May 2012 (EDT)

This is a historical wiki. We have articles that are nearly a decade old. Nobody here writes like that anymore, and it's retarded to make fun of people for writing in an internet style everybody used in the past. Mike the Great (talk) 19:32, 9 May 2012 (EDT)
I think that's a fair point to make, but I'd raise the question of whether or not your average newfag is aware of that. There are people who do still use the term 'epic win' long after it's become no longer topical, relevant or funny to do so and think that they're the height of coolness for doing so precisely because they're mimicking the language used in articles on ED. They don't know or care that the articles they're copying might be long out of date, it's new to them because they've just discovered it. - Cleveland Bay II - Return Of Cleveland Bay 19:46, 9 May 2012 (EDT)
merge with epic win. this will look fine as a subsection. -hipcrime 19:48, 9 May 2012 (EDT)
I think the part about famous weeners should be left out but seconded. I'll leave cleveland to do it since it's his and he should get credit Mike the Great (talk) 19:51, 9 May 2012 (EDT)
Cool, I'm happy with that. Sorry if I came across as a dick, btw. I wasn't spoiling for a wikifight, I just wanted to state my case, y'know? - Cleveland Bay II - Return Of Cleveland Bay 19:55, 9 May 2012 (EDT)
