Hey! | This article isn't lulz just yet, but its coverage can spark a lollercoaster. You can help by reverting people who delete shit, and vandalizing their user pages. See this article on Google? Want to add something? Join us! |
Rick Falkvinge is the founder of the Swedish Pirate Party and ran it from 2006 to 2011. During that time, the SPP became the official ISP of TPB (The Pirate Bay).
Falkvinge is a fan of Bitcoin, but more importantly, he is a fan of CP, because he views it as evidence that can be used to convict criminals. After stepping down as SPP leader, he went on a series of rants in May and September of 2012:

He notably in the third one, followed in the steps of Neil Gaiman by defending lolicon, and went a step further by actually posting it in his blog:
This was in relation to a case involving the conviction of a Swedish man in 2011 for loli manga, and which was appealed in May and overturned in June. The reason Falkvinge posted it was because the Swedish Supreme court declared that it was not CP.
Regardless of this, the expression of Falkvinge's views has resulted in his being alienated from the upper echelon of the SPP.
