Calling it their "follow up procedure," they encouraged their members to distribute flyers in their accused pedophiles victims neighborhoods and coordinated these members to send massive amounts of emails and Private Messages to all the friends, employers, neighbors and relatives on social networking sites etc, using several 'blank' throw-away accounts to bypass these sites' spam filters for maximum impact.
During that time, Cynthia's harassment included targeting minors and their parents - 'for the lulz' [*,*].
Shortly after the information about the the co-administrator of wikisposure, now administrator of evil-unveiled, was first made public in Sep. 2010, the owner of Perverted-Justice (Xavier von Erck) removed "the Wikisposure project" from the PJFI list of websites and took the Wikisposure server off-line, citing "issues between volunteers and inevitably, drama."
Derek complains loudly and often on RSO-advocacy boards such as [[SOSEN]], [[SOhopeful]], [[Roar for Freedom]] and his own OnceFallen about how unfairly sex offenders are treated by society. It is his view that once a sex offender is released from prison that they should be free to go about their business with no monitoring or interference from government officials.
As a further result, 'DeterminedPJ aka Cynthia' deleted many of her posts from perverted-justice (or they were deleted by the admins) and quit PJ.
Cynthia then created evil-unveiled.com [1], "a Nashville based group", of which she soon showed to be the administrator and spokesperson. He actively participates in advocacy boards for RSO's that seek to eliminate both registry and age of consent laws. Derek was recently scheduled for a reclassification hearing on his predator status and made an appeal in the SOSEN forum for members to write him letters of recommendation that he could use in his hearing. Derek continually fails to take responsibility for his past actions and persistently blames all his current troubles upon others. Just like all the other RSO's and advocates, Derek is deceptive when it comes to talking about the recidivism rate of sex offenders. He frequently misinterprets studies and reports and only references short term studies omitting the longer studies which subsequently contain more accurate information.
A Summit was held recently in Ohio to address issues pertaining to victims of sexual assault. Derek attempted to undermine their efforts by writing letters to the invited attendees blaming the victims advocates for the high recidivism rate of sex offenders. He said, "This is not about an issue of sex offender laws, but of VIGILANTISM-- stalking, harassing, intimidating, ostracizing, and humiliating former offenders en masse, which has been shown to cause the stress that leads to a higher risk of recidivism". Derek also blamed the organizer of the summit, not only for high recidivism rates but for the actions of everyone who vocally opposes his views as well. He wrote in his letters, "I sincerely hope you find this compelling enough to remove your support of this summit only on the basis of the organization responsible for this summit."
In many cases, these vigilantes were within their free speech rights in the USA. In other cases, however, their behavior violated various websites' Terms of Service, may have run afoul of state privacy and cyber-stalking laws, and may constitute libel.
Derek's impulsive, self-absorbed nature and continued blame-shifting behavior, along with his lack of empathy for sexual abuse victims and attempts to disrupt their efforts to heal is great cause for concern.
This blog, listing the identities of the contributors of http://absolutezerounited.blogspot.com, their vigilante ilk and the administrator of evil-unveiled, will, at the very least, give these crusaders pause before they make unwarranted assumptions and spurious pedophile accusations.
Just as pedophiles were attempting to disassociate themselves from the societal stigma of that label by calling themselves, "boylovers," "girllovers," or "childlovers," so too are RSO advocates, like Derek, trying to remove themselves from the stigma of being "sex offenders." Fourth, the judge still lives in the fantasy land where all 11 year old girls are doe-eyed virgins that are ignorant of sex. Derek is best known for blaming victims of sexual crimes and angry outbursts which he says are the fault of those who support sex offender management policies. Just like all the other RSO's and advocates, Derek is deceptive when it comes to talking about the recidivism rate of sex offenders. He frequently misinterprets studies and reports and only references short term studies omitting the longer studies which subsequently contain more accurate information.
A Summit was held recently in Ohio to address issues pertaining to victims of sexual assault. Derek attempted to undermine their efforts by writing letters to the invited attendees blaming the victims advocates for the high recidivism rate of sex offenders. He said, "This is not about an issue of sex offender laws, but of VIGILANTISM-- stalking, harassing, intimidating, ostracizing, and humiliating former offenders en masse, which has been shown to cause the stress that leads to a higher risk of recidivism". Derek also blamed the organizer of the summit, not only for high recidivism rates but for the actions of everyone who vocally opposes his views as well. He wrote in his letters, "I sincerely hope you find this compelling enough to remove your support of this summit only on the basis of the organization responsible for this summit."
Derek's impulsive, self-absorbed nature and continued blame-shifting behavior, along with his lack of empathy for sexual abuse victims and attempts to disrupt their efforts to heal is great cause for concern.
