I appreciate your concern, but let me show you how I see things here. I know it's long but I want to answer you in full.

I understand that you see the high score pages as giving this site a bad name, but you do know that these type of articles are the some of the ones that get the most attention on this site? Both in reference to page views and the amount of work users put into them. I looked at recent changes just now, and a good chunk of these pages were all mass shooting-related changes, many of which were not even touched by me. I'm not the only one on this site so engrossed; there are quite a few of us who come and go. Also, this is really the only place where we can even work on stuff like this anyways. (On a side note, the page I put the most effort into was the Porsche Girl page which has nothing remotely to do with murder.)

As for correcting the count of Anders, I saw that as a pretty obvious error, and taking a look at the proper high score page right after, it looks like somebody else did put the correct numbers there so I would presume that I'm not the only one on this site who can be that nit picky. I only wrote on the talk page in case somebody got onto me for messing with the numbers. I've learned that the other high score editors can be pretty — er — pretty hostile when you mess with stuff like that.

Now, concerning me personally, I would guess that most alarming thing would be the fact that I put all the "gameplay footage" I uploaded right on my page. This is more to just keep track of my contributions and to show off to other high score editors really. I would say that some other users' pages are a bit more concerning though. I recall one listing his favorite mass shooters right there on his user page, for example. One thing to keep in mind about people who actually "go postal" so to speak, is that they are usually emotionally weak, mentally ill in some way, and pretty aggressive. William Atchison lived in the middle on nowhere and saw himself as completely futureless. Hopelessness and a desire to be someone is the driving force behind these kinds of people. You can see virtually all of these traits in Atchison's online postings. I don't see myself as matching up in any of these regards. I do have a future that I look forward to and I'm sure as hell I'm not going to throw it all away because I don't know how to keep my emotions in check.

And, one last thing. Two guys I knew back in middle school ended up becoming mass shooters later on. It was actually a gang-related shooting but they fired into a crowd at a birthday party so it technically was still a mass shooting. Kids died. Crazy thing is, I would have never expected these people of all to do it. I saw first hand effects of what a mass shooting can do to a community and I have no desire of creating unnecessary pain for anybody like they did.

Anyways, I hope this wasn't too long for you. Thx for checking in. I'll take a break from the mass shooting thing, how about that? :)
