The VA Goth Confessional (or VAGC) is a Facebook community created on April 3rd, 2013 mocking any and all aspects of the variety of 'dark' cultures permeating the local goth/industrial club scene. It is frequented by folks loosely associated in what might be called the "Virginia Goth" scene, though it occasionally bleeds over into neighboring jurisdictions (DC, Baltimore, etc.) as well as neighboring poor life choices (juggalos, furries, and fat chicks in polyurethane outfits that are far too small for them.) The community can submit "confessions" by private message or using the community's ask.fm page.

History

The original VAGC was founded on April 3rd, 2013, and was temporarily shut down due to a Cease & Desist letter allegedly sent to the moderators of the community. (The C&D was later revealed to be a hoax by the mod via his tl;dr post on October 5th, 2013) In it's place, The Goth Confessional was started on September 18th, 2013 - then closed on December 28th 2013 when the original VAGC reopened. In fact, nobody really cares about the timeline of it all, so fuck it - move on to the next section.

Popular Topics

While the discussions usually revolve around douchebags and prominent club members from 'teh scene', VAGC community members also frequently post on more global topics of disgust, such as bronies, dandies, fedoras, furries, juggalos, ICP, poor hygiene, and white vampirism. As with most incidents of epic trolling, the vitriol spewed towards any individual is inversely proportional to how well he or she reacted to previous troll attempts.
