Fate/stay night is a visual novel by Type-Moon famous for turning King Arthur in a 17 year old slut that sells her body for Magicka. Since it was created by the same people responsible for Tsukihime, this game was bond to /b/loved and cherished by basement dwellers around the world. In this visual novel, heroes don't die; instead, they become bitches bond to Harry Potters(Magic caster or whatever the fuck). Masters and their Bitches must fight against other magicians and their pets in order to win the ultimate prize: the Holy Grail (srsly)(which is literally full of shit, srsly, it's full of black shit and it was fling to SHITrou by Kotomine Kigey.). The game is divided into three story arcs or routes: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel. Oh, and Saber is the female King Arthur.(No shit? really?)

Plot

TL;DR. This shit is over 9000 hours long. Anyone who play this game have no fucking life.

GAR

GAR is an adjective used to describe beings of extreme manliness. GAR was created by an anon expressing his fondness of Archer. As with many do with Bridget, this person was "Gay for Archer", but he mistyped and accidentally submitted "I'm gar for archer".

Unlimited Bullshit Works

As with GAR, this meme is also based on Archer. Archer is a chinese tracer with the ability to copy many weapons. As a result, Archer can create an unlimited amount of copies faster than 13 year old boys working in Chinese sweatshops, only to deliver pwnage to his opponents. Archer's Reality Marble (special ability) is Unlimited Blade Works, which he used to create any weapon he wishes. Archer also has a neat, little chant that is often used as an exploitable copypasta:

I am the bone of my sword.
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.
So as I pray, "Unlimited Blade Works".

Besides a copypasta, Unlimited X Works can be used in image form, in which the creative image editor must replace the "X" with sometime new and interesting.

Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh is the King of Heroes and the King Of Dicks amongst the Servants. He's an antagonist in two story arcs, and he often attempted hits on Saber. (but she end up plowing him instead. Hard. Very hard. Saber has a dick too.) He also spend he's spare time during 4th war to the 5th masturbating to the mirror being the egoistical homo he is.

Gilgamesh can open portals (via Gate of Babelon) and retrieve legendary weapons from an ancient vault. As with Unlimited X Works, this is often the subject of image modifications.

Fate/Zero

The prequel anime series to Fate/stay night, follows the Holy Grail War ten years prior to the original series, and focuses on Kiritsugu Emiya, the adoptive father of the original protagonist. It is almost universally regarded by fans as superior to the original anime adaptation.

Plot

Ten years before the original series, we have the Fourth Holy Grail War, where the winning Master and Servant will each receive a wish. Kiritsugu is hired by the Einzbern family to summon Saber (aka Female King Arthur) to help them win. One of the most crucial plot points is how the Servant Saber is chivalrous and wants a fair fight, while the Master Kiritsugu will kill whoever and blow up whatever he wants to achieve his goals. This goes with the theme of morality, and if there's any truth in the ends justifying the means. So all the Masters summon their Servants and have an epic battle royale between heroes of legend nah just fucking with you there's only one and a half fights in the entire first season and nobody's even defeated until more than halfway through the series. Even better, they wait until the last two episodes before the four remaining Servants get to killing each other. Anyway, at the end of the series Kiritsugu gets the Holy Grail, and he wants to use it to save the world. Turns out the Grail can only act within the user's imagination. Since he's killed people his whole life to save others, the Grail tells him it'll save the world by murdering everyone. After a dragged out montage of his past sins and whining to himself, he tells Saber to blow up the Holy Grail. Not only does itnot work, it also spills out black goo that blows up half the city. The old Grinch-y Kiritsugu saw the error of his ways, and after rescuing young Shiro, his heart grew three sizes that day.

Characters

• Kiritsugu Emiya - Main character, and Master of Saber; a hired gun by the Einzbern family to help them win the Holy Grail War because they're too lazy to do it themselves. Grew up in a coastal village, until this girl he liked thought it was a good idea to try his dad's vampire potion, and everyone on the island got turned into vampires. He was quickly adopted by Natalya, a freelance mercenary, but not before murdering his dad to make it official. After ten years killing and fucking together, a job gone wrong forced him to blow up Natalya and her vampire-infested plane. Later ran into the Einzberns, and knocked up one of their clone women, whom he remains married by the series start. Also, he had some of his ribs torn out to make bullets that fuck you over, wherever you're hit. His wish is for the world's salvation.

• Saber - Female King Arthur, and Servant of Kiritsugu, and future Servant of Shirou. Wields the legendary Excalibur, made invisible to hide its length and mask her identity. She keeps doing this even though everyone recognizes her and knows the sword length. Her wish is to save Britain back in the 12th century. For a paragon of justice, she doesn't really seem to understand the impact that changing events at least 100 years ago would have on the present. I mean, present-day England seems pretty fine now. Britain.

Fall/semester mike (aka Unlimited Essay Works) is a spin-off of Unlimited X Works. An anon on /a/ named "Mike" was failing his English course, so he decided to go out with a bang. Instead of handing in his final paper, he handed in Unlimited Essay Works:
