We realize a lot of you are busy or may be new to ED, so here's just the most important info:

• Read ED:101. Seriously. The information contained within is invaluable. Further tutorials of use can be found here.
• To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page (Tab at the top that says 'discussion').
• Sign your comments by using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
• These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them. They're here to help; we promise.
• The TJC is the community portal. It's linked to from every page; just look at the top left of the page. Check it daily.
• Use Special:Upload to upload pictures. Be sure to give them meaningful names. Also, do not upload any CP or Bestiality pr0n or you will be b&.
• Feeling social? Enjoy forums? Join here.
• See ED:HELP and ED:POLICY for everything else.

Hey thanks for your work, you're doing a good job on the wiki. Just a tip next time you make AOTN you can transclude the content of the template. There's no need to copy paste the entire thing. so for example you made AOTN template page Encyclopedia Dramatica:Article of the Now/March 10, 2023. To have the same content for March 11 just write {{:Encyclopedia Dramatica:Article of the Now/March 10, 2023}} and the template page from March 10 will be "inserted." Hey man, no ill-will because I think you've been a breath of fresh air as an active user who is genuinely funny. But some of your quotes are too long, and some are too politically charged. Even then, a long quote is fine if it's truly funny or interesting, but most need a lot of context to be funny. Using the source section to provide that context is not the best solution, it only adds to the bloated look of the quote. Main thing to look out for are issues with the code you use and making sure that you're setting XotNs for the correct date. One PotN had three brackets on one side rather than two. And you set Crooks as AotN on a date that should have been a repeat of Global Warming (which somehow broke the main page). GirlOnInternet (talk) 21:12, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

User Rights

So when we turn on the moderation queue only editors and above are normally unmoderated. However, you or any other admin can go to Special Pages -> User Rights and set unmoderated privs to regular (non-editor) users. The moderation queue not only prevents vandalism, but it allows for quality control. I will pass this info on to the other admins. Admin (talk) 01:46, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
