This article is not crap. You can help by not doing anything.

Sub 3 second page load time - with 500 people on wiki

ED is fast is a recently noticed phenomenon related to the speed and uptime of your favorite wiki.

Usage

Prima: "Does ED work for you"
Secunda: "Yeah, I can access it without problems"

How does ED stay up?

Nobody knows, not even the sysop that handles the technical part. It's probably because cloud hosting for ED costs Over $500 monthly.

Background

Sometime at the end of 2014, Edgeworth deciced he had enough and he dissapeared without a trace. Leaving the Site Owner with unpaid bills, servers that are not fully configured and without access codes for almost all servers

After rigorous selection process new sysop migrated both wiki and the forum to new infrastructure, and everything works now

Technical Stuff

ED is currently hosted on 21 cloud instances on 9 different hosting providers. Additionaly we use three dedicated servers running Virtualization software for failover, backup and staging. ED has not one, but TWO frontend servers separated from all the other shit so if we get DMCA'd or banned from the hosting provider we can gracefully swap to another without any significant downtime.

We basically have the same setup as TPB but since we're not as popular, we don't pay as much.

Quotes

OK faggot, we're up and running on all the instances. MySQL replication is set up, and frontends are completely isolated from our backends. We have dual caching mechanism and automatic IP failover
