10. Pietàn
 
Den här bilden är inspirerad av Michelangelos skulptur i Peterskyrkan i Rom. Här ligger den döde Jesus i Marias knä. Jan på bilden är hiv-positiv och bilden är tagen framför avdelning 53 på Södersjukhuset i Stockholm. Avdelningen där Aidssjuka vårdades i sitt slutskede. Där har jag själv tagit farväl av mina vänner.

10. The Pietà
 
This photo is inspired by Michelangelo's sculpture in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Here is Jesus, lying dead in Mary's lap. In this photo, Jan is HIV positive; the picture was taken in front of department 53 at the Stockholm hospital, Södersjukhuset. Terminally ill AIDS patients spend their final days on that floor. I have bid farewell to friends there, myself.

Das Bild ist von der Skulptur Michelangelos in der Peterskirche in Rom inspiriert. Hier liegt der tote Jesus auf Marias Knien. Dies ist Jan. Er ist HIV-positiv. Das Bild wurde vor Abteilung 53 des Söder-Krankenhauses in Stockholm aufgenommen. In dieser Abteilung werden die Aidskranken in ihrem letzten Lebensabschnitt betreut. Dort habe ich selbst Abschied von meinen Freunden genommen. </pre>
