Is is wise to use "any character" (<code>.</code>) "any number of times" (<code>*</code>) so often? What if someone decides to set up a phishing site and change a link over to the phishing site? Regarding the liberal use of "any charcter any number of times"

Is it wise to use "any character" (.) "any number of times" (*) so often? What if someone decides to set up a phishing site and change a link over to the phishing site? What's stopping some random asshole from registering "deviantart.tv", for example, and tricking people into visiting that site by changing a link in one of our articles? --Ld3105 (talk) 21:24, 4 March 2021 (EST)
