Who here remembers Wacky Packages?

You know, those often-shitty parody stickers/cards? I just remembered that they did one for Cracked magazine that's surprisingly accurate. Should we include it in the article, or is not lulzy enough? Save the whales! Adoph-in Hitler needs an army! 16:54, 25 September 2014 (EDT)

Well, That's One

Tada...

Here's the full thread/offshoot for anyone that cares...

It's a pain in the ass to restore these cause there's like sixty fucking pages of comments on each one of them to scroll/search/sort through to try and find the original comment. I'll try and do some moar laterz. --Onideus 09:28, 24 August 2013 (EDT)

Pick A Number, Any Number!

The "Cracked comment Hitler drawings.PNG" image is one of these...

...most likely the first one, but it could be the second one (or part of the second one). There's no thumbnail to go by so it's impossible to say for certain unless someone else remembers or has the ~actual~ original (these are just recreations from the original site/comments).

Mmmm, on another note, the fourth one has no link, so it's basically impossible to restore like I've done for the others. Speaking of which, here's the full thread/commentary for the second one I restored:

It's not as entertaining as the other complete one though. --Onideus 13:15, 24 August 2013 (EDT)

Separate Article for Comments Section?

Should there be one? There was a threatened end to the Comments Section about a year ago by David Wong, so they formed a new website, only to look like a bunch of idiots when it turned out it wasn't being closed. It's basically an exact clone of PWOT. http://thecommentsection.org/ Also, the spaghetti from the comments section on Cracked is so plentiful that it could have its own forest. I'm currently working on the article on my page and want to know if it's worth it? --GoldenIpodRecipient 07:22, 19 March 2014 (EDT)

Considering an entire rewrite

To make it look like the actual site, sort of like the Newgrounds Article only not ridiculously confusing. If I get permission and do it, I want to make the article a satirical piece on how the site works, including a faux comments section. I'm currently working on some shit nobody cares about, so I'll give it a week or two. --GoldenIpodRecipient 12:20, 19 July 2014 (EDT) Disregard this, I suck a load of cocks. There are just too many things to iron out, the page is good as it is right now. --GoldenIpodRecipient 09:08, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

back in the day

Cracked use to be a printed magazine when I was a kid. It was kind of a Mad magazine rip-off but I think it was funnier. I use to buy it every month. That is all. --Mantequilla (talk) 07:58, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

Things to improve

Firstly, there needs to be someone a lot better at this ED game than I am, to see if this article is still boring or not and fix a ton of shit. The site uses such an antiquated old system that makes it impossible to find specific photoplasty entrants or comments. There are a few specific things I'd like to find though, and I'll update this talk if I find them:

  • Fail Photoplasty winners. I need moar.
  • The great comments sperg out (around a year - 2 years ago as of writing). There was a huge shitstorm with all the commenters taking one side or the other. They acted it out like it was some sort of online battle or something and still refer to it like it's a big thing.
  • The threatened removal of the comments section (this may be related to the previous thing)
  • The Bloody Board takeover (for a bunch of SJWs they sure are assholes)
  • Eric The Bear Jew admits he's autistic (I think it was in an article about mental disorders)
  • A collage with all of Reallifegirl's comments, showing all the green thumbs she has amassed over the years.
  • Forum threads that complain that Cracked is becoming too SJW-ish.

This article is like my baby, I want to do what's best for it. --GoldenIpodRecipient 08:48, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

Well, they finally did it. Not one, not two, but three indoctrinations regarding Gamergate in a row, including an article wrote by the hambeast herself. Don't know about anyone else, but I do not stand for this bullshit and wish it to cease. When I started working on this article earlier this year, they had hardly done anything wrong, and I was writing just to update the situation and make a note at how the site became a lot more bitchy and dickless as it was one of the sites I frequented and felt knowledgeable enough to add content. However, just a few hours after I happened to mention Transgenders in the intro, Cracked actually went and made a Transgender article, along with many other articles about privilege and social justice and all that crap. I thought it was a phase and really did not think they would be that serious. I reached the edge when someone posted a thread that claimed Cracked had gone SJW, but Cazio (I think) cherry-picked examples of non-SJW articles and threw them back in his face. Now Wong and Co. are actively censoring and deleting posts, as well as giving those who post them negative karma (lol as if that's going to make a difference) Here is my plan of action:

  • We send emails to companies that host adverts on Cracked, tell them to cease business with them. Always use your adblock.
  • We raid the comment sections, thumbing comments accordingly. Be warned, you only have 10 downthumbs for each article, so make a new account when this happens.
  • We spam the forums with well-thought out arguments and cold, hard evidence.
  • We raid their Youtube channel in the very same way, flag their videos.
  • We call for an end of all the novelty accounts (they're not funny period, they're just sjws in disguise)
  • We get someone respected, professional and willing to make an article (maybe Christina Sommers or someone similar?) to set the record straight.
  • Boost traffic to Cracked's rivals such as Buzzfeed. You don't have to read the crap they write, just give them views and recommend them.

If we do this, they might finally learn not to be such pussies and pussy-whipped cunts. --GoldenIpodRecipient 16:22, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
